Shifting from being a normal worker to being a supervisor can be challenging. Often, the transition is considered as starting from the bottom of the ladder in a new trade. However, with the transition, the supervisor is now required to tell the workers instead of suggesting what to do. The transition to a supervisor may result in a shift of peer relationships due to feelings of jealousy and rivalry that former colleagues may portray.

It is clear that the transition from a normal case worker to a supervisor comes with a variety of challenges as well as stresses. If the new supervisor is not prepared, they may be caught up in a tangle of messes that will only make their work harder. As a supervisee under a new supervisor, I would try to make their lives as easy as possible by doing what is required of me. In addition, I would not overly be dependent on my supervisor since I understand the turmoil that they are going through. As a supervisee, there is not much that I can do except make the work of my supervisor less hard.
