The most significant ideas gained from the course is the knowledge of various job opportunities that can be pursued by a nursing practioner and the importance of getting higher nursing education. By taking this course, I got to debunk the different career paths that I could take once I finished my Bachelor’s Degree. Throughout the course, it became apparent that with a nursing degree, a nurse could work in an emergency room, an insurance firm, or as a registered nurse supervisor. I think this is the most significant part of the course because it has proven to change the ideology of many registered nurses who seek job opportunities away from the sick bays. The course also showed me that getting a DNP is a priority in this field of work as it only makes one a better nurse, and holistically, improving the quality of patient-care that one dispenses. The course allowed me to understand that while a master’s degree in nursing would make me a better nurse in terms of patient care delivery, a DNP would make me a better nurse to my fellow professionals since it would equip me with vital managerial skills.
Taking this course will impact me and other students since it demystified the vast career opportunities for trained nurses as well as the eminence of pursuing further education. According to what I learnt in the course, it is vital for all nurses to continue developing their nursing competency by pursing further education. As a result, I will pursue a master’s degree in nursing as a stepping stone to the attainment of doctorate in nursing.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
I would advise all my colleagues pursuing nursing to take this course as it is an eye-opener. Developing Nursing Practice helps a registered nurse to get a better view on the nursing profession, the job market, and professional cohesion. The aforementioned attributes contribute to the delivery of efficacious and quality services.
