The four social concepts that relate to the video encompass the conformity to the norms of the group, social status, group formation, and social networks. Conformity to the norms of the group encompasses the situation where members engage in activities that are approved by the group to which they conform to ( Stango, 2004, p. 147). Ideally, people can change their behavior to fit into the group around them. In the video, the experiment that involved people looking at photographs with smiling images often smiled back. Thus, this video experiment indicates that the participants mirrored the activities on their faces after being influenced by the smiles on the faces of the photo images.

The other concept that has a link to the video is social status. The text indicates that there exists a structure due to status differences. It refers to the authority, privilege, and prestige of specific groups over other groups ( Stango, 2004, p. 150). Thus, such superior groups have authority and influence over the inferior ones. From the video, political propaganda by superior groups can influence the inferior groups to engage in dehumanization activities such as genocides. Therefore, the difference in social status that creates superior groups might greatly influence the inferior groups.

The social network concept involves the specific connection and communication among the group members. It encompasses a set of persons within a particular group who are linked through social networks such as friendship and who regularly influence one another ( Stango, 2004, p. 151). The video depicts that the brain always cares for the team it belongs to. For instance, an atheist for atheists. Thus the social network concept encompasses the strong connection, influence, and communication between close group members.

The last concept involves the formation of a group. It refers to the coming together of members who will then exist as a particular group ( Stango, 2004, p. 139). The video begins by indicating that the brain is always searching for a social network which is vital for its survival. Therefore, the formation of the group always relies on the brain’s searching for a social web which is important for its survival.

The article that would help in providing social services focuses on the evolution of education. The article is “ School Social Workers: Vital, Valuable, Visible” by Sue Coyle (Coyle, 2019). It centers on the need for a social worker in Derry Township School of Pennsylvania.
