Thesis Statement
We are a large US-based corporation that deals with the manufacturing and distribution of rubber tires. In order to expand the business, the company is considering opening another distribution and manufacturing plant in Mexico.

Reasons the company had for branching out in another county. Some of the reasons include emerging market for tires in Mexico, Mexico is known for producing quality goods, low costs of manufacturing (Fawcett, Taylor & Smith, 1995)

Chairman
The chairman as the corporation’s leader
He provides paternalistic leadership and manages the board of directors of the corporation. Paternalistic leadership is used in Mexico because unlike other countries Mexican’s prefer to have distance relations with their managers ( Schuler et al., 1996) .
He calls and chairs all meetings
He reviews and evaluates the performance of the CEO in charge
He leads the management team in the plant
The chairman as an organizer and coordinator of board activities
He is in charge of gathering data about the plant
He makes available the information gathered to the board of directors
Vice Chairman
He delegates all the functions of the chairman when the chair is absent or unable to
He is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the plant’s strategies
He is in charge of monitoring all the activities of the new plant
Secretary
She will be the corporation’s receptionist
She will help visitors and new employees find their way around the plant
Accepting visitors on behalf of the chairman and directing them to his office
In charge of projecting the company’s image
Correspondence
Liaises the outgoing and incoming mail and phone calls
They make phone calls on behalf of the plant’s managers to follow up on inquiries and schedule meetings
Prepares emails and memos on behalf of the plant’s management
Document management
Fax documents to clients or customers as well as receiving incoming fax and passing them to the right person
Assist in proofreading and drafting of documents and emails
They create documents or spreadsheets that they distribute to customers and employees
Filling
Management of office files and customers records in the plant
Using a filling system to put the plant’s documents in order.
In charge of updating files and records as well as retrieve them.
Treasurer
Record keeping, bookkeeping and banking
Ensure proper record keeping of all document by any employee that handles money
Setting up proper systems for payments, petty cash and bookkeeping
Financial budgeting and planning
Prepare budgets
Presents financial statements
Advice on the implications of financial and strategic plans
Ensure financial controls are put in place
Ensure the corporation complies with the relevant legislation. For movement into the Mexican market, it is important to follow the civil law tradition as opposed to common law practiced in the US.
Conclusion
In order for the branching out to be successful, the chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer ought to ensure that they perform their roles diligently. This is also in order to manage the diverse Mexican culture.
