Environmental issues I am passionate about and their benefits
Afforestation, recycling, as well as prevention of water and air pollution are some of the environmental issues I am passionate about. I love planting trees on both barren lands and recuperating forests because they help in environmental conservation. Planting trees help to cool the planet by attracting rainfall as well as its leaves acting as interceptors that help to catch rainwater ( Cottee ‐ Jones et al., 2016) . In addition, planting trees prevents erosion of soil in steep land surfaces and also acts as a habitat to many wild animals such as elephants. I am also passionate about planting trees because they save water from impurities by breaking the direct fall of rainfall to the ground.
Recycling involves collecting and processing waste materials to produce and turn them into new products ( Wichmann et al., 2017) . I am passionate about recycling because it helps in environmental protection, reduces the need for refining, extracting, and processing raw materials, which lead to both water and air pollution. Moreover, I am passionate about recycling because it helps to save energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions, thus helping to tackle the challenges of climate change. In addition, recycling is important in environmental conservation because it helps reduce the production of harmful gases released to the atmosphere.

A social media hashtag campaign refers to a marketing initiative that aims at gaining the attention of various individuals on social media platforms in order to create engagement and drive traffic for a specific issue or a product ( Storer & Rodriguez, 2020) . Effective social media hashtags should be brief, conversational, relevant, and unique by ensuring they are not used by other people.

# Adopt the Planet is one of the social media hashtags that have influenced me in various ways. # Adopt the planet is a social media hashtag started by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the year 2017 with the aim of bringing attention to the natural world and create environmental conservation awareness on the planet. The hashtag has been influential since it encourages individuals to adopt a particular piece of the earth and explore a corner of the world in order to help conserve the environment and make the planet a better place.

I would use the hashtag campaign to create awareness and sensitize people to plant many trees in order to increase the forest cover. Through the initiative, I would educate people on the importance of planting many trees to help in environmental conservation.

The hashtag would be relevant to individuals who cut down trees for various purposes, such as the manufacture of papers. I would use the hashtag to sensitize them to always plant double the trees they cut down.

I would use the hashtag to inform industry owners on why they should not release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

The hashtag would be relevant to individuals who pollute water through actions such as directing factory waste into rivers. I would therefore use the hashtag to sensitize them on the need to avoid water pollution for better health and avoid diseases.

I would use the hashtag to create awareness to the general public on the importance of maintaining a clean environment by avoiding the dumping of dirt as well as avoiding the use of plastics since they do not decompose.

My favorite hashtag would be the #plant trees your age. The hashtag increases morale and motivates people to plant many trees. The hashtag is unique and creative and therefore, would get the attention of many people on social media and promote environmental conservation by planting trees.
Intended Target audience and what I hope to achieve
The hashtag targets the youth due to their presence on social media. The youth will then sensitize the elderly and young children to plant as many trees as their age. Therefore, at the end of the campaign, it will be possible that almost all members of the society will have engaged in the initiative and thereby achieving the end goal of increasing the trees cover on the earth's surface. I will hope to achieve more tree cover, which would translate in the prevention of soil erosion, clean air, as well as increased rainfall.
How the campaign influence thought and action in real life
The campaign is influential and would trigger other actions to help in environmental conservation, such as protecting wildlife by campaigning against poaching. Therefore, the hashtag campaign would influence thoughts in other sectors and lead to solutions to the various challenges in the society. Therefore, the final hashtag for my campaign would be
