According to Berger, every society experiences world-building where religion is allocated a unique place. The community is presented as a human product exposed to various consequences following human activities. Berger implies that religion was introduced to the world to counter the threats from disorders and chaos of humanity. It is introduced to the world as a form of guidance that explains why things exist in their present form in the human world. There are various signs that various insights that the religious experiences would be fleeting if there was no institution to preserve and pass it to the generations. Berger insinuates that the sacred is something extraordinary.

Question 2

The aspect of society being a dialect phenomenon implies that it is founded on human activities and consciousness. The history and experiences of individuals are the scenes that form the nation. Human beings are born to find the society existing and will perish and leave it behind. However, the activities and processes they engage while on earth dictate what the community is to become. The fundamental dialect process is a component of three steps. Understanding these elements together assures humanity of a maintained society. These three steps define how a society becomes a human product and a reality, and how man is a societal product.

Question 3

The sacred canopy is a world perception that is proposed by religion as influenced by human consciousness. It is an excellent title of the book as religious principles have guided most of the elements identified in the book about society and humanity. Similarly, every aspect of humanity, as mentioned in the book, is based on religious concepts and principles. The activities explored around society and in religious concepts are also influenced by the choices man has to make. These attributes imply that man is an essential creature in the works with responsibilities to secure and protect society.

The question asked in the discussion can raise various controversial topics. However, it is important to focus on the teachings of the scripture and seize from questioning important world views and perceptions already declared by the Bible. The creation stories already acknowledge that God created man in His image and likeness. Therefore, it is an atheist stand to come and begin questioning such ideas and declarations as implied by the scripture. Starting controversial topics regarding religion only triggers debates, and no appropriate answer can be attained.

Discussion

The discussion is an implication that the concepts heightened by Berger make it challenging to understand the aspects related to society, humankind, and religion. Berger claims that man is the creator of the society and a product of society. He makes it difficult to understand the ideas behind the correlation between humanity and society. However, it is essential to remember that every aspect of life is founded on religions and religious principles. I agree that the insights indicate that mankind is the architecture of the social structure.

Response

I agree with the fact that society and religion are two critical elements that need each other. It is interesting how you capture the aspect of religion is passed down from God. The views presented in the book typically implies that religion is a product of society. The society, in this case, can refer to humankind. It would be impossible for religion to exist without humanity. Consequentially, it is also evident that mankind needs religion and its teachings and principles to survive. This is the most critical issue in your response that caught my attention, and I look forward to learning more about the subject.
