The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) helps in the design, development, and testing of software in the software industry. It seeks to produce high-quality products that meet the expectations of the customers, are completed within the time limit, and within the set costs ( Dora & Dubey, 2015) . The process also provides a detailed plan in order to describe, maintain, replace, as well as enhance specific software. The phases are the planning, defining, designing, building, testing, and the deployment of the software.

The most important or crucial stage in the SDLC is the planning and requirement analysis stage. This phase has to be conducted by some of the senior members of the team as they get the requirements from the customers, the sales, market surveys, as well as other experts in the industry ( Dora & Dubey, 2015) . The information gained from this step helps in planning the project approach and the feasibility of the product in terms of the economic, operations, and the technical aspects of the project. It is also important as the preparation for the quality assurance and the identification of potential risks that come with the project.

The other important stage relates to the building or the development of the product stage. During this phase, the requirements by the clients or the project team are contextualized. Developers involved follow the guidelines that the management has set and then agree on the programming language to use based on the type of software that should be developed ( Hameed, 2016) . The project is then tested to determine if it meets all the requirements that have been set at the planning stage. The final stage is the deployment of the software in the market after it has been tested and based on the business model of the company.
