Since its founding in 1973, the company has distributed approximately one billion pounds of food to the residents of Los Angeles who are at risk of starvation. The organization relies heavily on donors who donate food and the organization stores them. The organization adheres to the American feeding standards when they distribute food to the individuals who face starvation. Volunteers and warehouse staffs are trained how to sort, process and donate food to the starving individuals.
