Star Wars (1977) vs. Alien (1979)

The above named films are some of the motion pictures that were created by renowned directors where George Lucas wrote and directed Star Wars while Ridley Scott directed Alien . The 1977 feature film is identified as the first installment of the original Star Wars trilogy titled Episode IV- A New Hope. It is an epic space opera film where the galaxy is in the midst of a civil war. Spies for the Rebel Alliance led by Princess Leia have been able to capture plans of a highly armed space station known as Death Star. However, her ship is captured by an evil leader, Darth Vader but she is able to hide the plans in the memory of a droid known as R2-D2 that is released the desert planet Tatooine. It is here that the droid is captured by Owen and Beru Lars and Luke Skywalker who discover that there is a message in the droid addressed to Obi-Wan Kenobi. The film then engages in a series of adventures for Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker who search for Princess Leia to rescue her from the wrath of Darth Vader. 

On the other hand, Alien is seen as a science-fiction horror film that seeks to depict the experiences of a seven member crew being attacked on a return trip to Earth. The action takes place on a commercial spacecraft recognized as Nostromo . The ship’s computer MUTHR has been able to detect n unknown signal and thus awakens the crew members. It is after following standard company policies that they decide to land on the planetoid before going on to investigate. After discovering a large alien creature with its ribcage open from a possible internal explosion, Ripley on the crew members identifies that the transmission was not a signal for distress but rather a warning. One of the hundreds of eggs on the alien ship emits a tiny creature that begins to attack the crew members one by one. It would spit out acid and cling on to any surface including the helmets of the crew members. It is only by sheer luck that two of the crew members survive the attack and set off for their voyage home.
