Overview 

The clinical area that will be covered in this paper is the dental services at Grace Health hospital. Based on the information collected and analyzed in this paper, it is clear that Grace Health Hospital's best interest is to expand its services to ensure that dental and oral services are accessible to all people in the community. Grace Health is among the few hospitals providing dental practices and accepts adults and children with Medicaid insurance. The hospital's dental departments are located in two places, which are in Albion and Battle Creek. These centers provide everything from simple cleaning and complex restoration services. 

  Grace Health Dental service aims to expand its services by addressing the following areas of interest.

Utilizing the best methods and science to improve oral disease surveillance and risk factors.  

Broaden their understanding of determinants of oral health and oral health disparities and utilize evidence-based, multidisciplinary approaches in addressing these disparities.  

Promote and develop effective interventions and evidence-based strategies to prevent oral diseases. 

Strengthen the hospital's infrastructure to promote oral health and health programs in communities by implementing and developing macro-level systems and policies for change approaches and evaluating these programs to ensure successful implementation.  

Adaptive Strategy  

It is crucial to examine the separate strategic thinking that the Grace Health Dental hospital operates to find the right adaptive strategy. The first is to look at the internal environment. The second is the external environment analysis, and the last is the refinement and development of directional strategies for this organization. Analysis of the domain will give an overview of the TWOS evolution method comprising threats, opportunities, weaknesses, and strengths.  

Strengths 

The Grace Health Dental Hospital's main aim is to improve access to primary healthcare to underserved communities. Grace Dental Hospital has the great advantage of being the only hospital dealing with oral health in this location. The hospital leadership is also positive and is ready to embrace the integration of primary health and oral health to enable access to comprehensive health care services. The dental hospital staff Los have a passion for serving and are committed to the organizational mission and vision  

Weakness 

The Grace Health Dental Hospital has not focused or emphasized creating awareness on the importance of oral health. This lack of understanding contributes to poor adherence and compliance to treatment. Also, the current culture at Grace Dental Hospital does not emphasize comprehensive care. Thus, the culture of this hospital is a major weakness.  

Opportunities 

  The main strategic opportunity that Grace Health Dental Hospital has to exploit is to offer integrated and comprehensive oral health care services. 

Threats 

  The primary threat facing the Grace Health Dental Hospital to expand dental services is the lack of adequate education to both the patients and healthcare providers. There are also deficiencies in public health support and poor dental professional's culture. The SWOT analysis shows that Grace Health Dental Hospital has the best opportunity and strength to be the leading hospital in compressive and integrated oral health services ( Vrontis, & Christofi, 2019) . It has a team of committed staff and leaders and sufficient resources to expand the oral health care service. 

The management in this hospital is committed to providing coordinated and comprehensive health care services to underserved populations such as those without medical insurance cover, those with disabilities, and people of color and immigrants. Dental service providers' success will be possible by adopting integration models that align with the organizational designation requirements and mission ( Harnagea et al., 2017 ). The leaders of Grace Heath Hospital leaders understand the importance of dental and oral health, just in the same way primary health services. The leaders are also aware of the barriers to complete integration and successful oral health at their facility.  

C. The Creation of A New Culture 

The best adaptive strategy that will enable the Grace Health dental hospital to be the top leader in the industry is creating a new organizational culture. This dental hospital's culture plays a crucial role in adding value to and ensuring accessibility to oral health. Oral health has to be made multidisciplinary to help improve the competency of clinicians specializing in oral health. The cultural change will enable the organization to combine oral and dental health with the other health care services as a systematic method towards the improvement of patients' health. 

Market-Entry Strategy 

  The internal and external environment analysis shows various opportunities to consider as part of the strategic options. The strategy will also consider the local population comprising of people of all ages. The Grace Health Dental Hospital will engage in the growth and expansion of its oral health services. The development is through renovations that aim to increase quality and efficiency in patients' care. The result of dental health services will target other places such as West Brook Place, Starr Commonwealth, Clark O Johnson, Bronson Battle Creek, and Battle Creek Public school. 

Grace Health Dental will use the franchising method to expand its services. The hospital will sign agreements with private, and public health care provider's operators motioned in the above-stated places in Michigan. Apart from franchising, the Grace health Hospital will also use the joint venture strategy to expand efforts. It will involve signing agreements with other dental clinics so that they can increase their market share. 

The joint venture is a suitable strategy for this dental hospital because it will get into a partnership relationship or knowledge/risk-sharing with another company. Grace Health Dental clinic can acquire private clinics and get into a joint venture agreement with them. 

  Another market entry strategy that Grace Health dental hospital can use is the Franchising method. The hospital will make franchise agreements with other private clinics operating in various locations in America. Another strategy used when a business expands organic growth requires enhancing current capabilities and a potential increase to serve many customers. 

  The hospital has an opportunity to expand its services through product innovation strategy or product development strategy. The process deals with the modification of the existing services. For example, the dental hospital can take up an innovative approach by adopting the latest dental services, such as laser dental treatment, smile design, and plastic surgery. These new services will allow a smooth penetration into the market. The Grace Health Dental Hospital can also apply this strategy by investing more in training and educating the current dentists to be competent in these unique and modern oral health services. 

  The company can also focus on making changes to the current system by adopting innovative strategies and adopting policies to attract new and potential clients while retaining the existing users. All these strategies have a remarkable impact on this organization. Combining the above-discussed methods will enable Grace Health Dental Hospital to adequately expand its dental/oral health services to a much broader customer market.

(2018) indicate that in the selection of strategic posture, a firm must understand the relationship between performance, resources, competitive advantage, capabilities, and mechanisms via which competitive advantage can be sustained for a long period. However, the permanent transformation and hyper-competition put questions on strategic choice over time. Therefore, there is a need for non-linear strategies that enable adopting strategic posture to uncertainty within the business environment. Strategic innovation is a systematic approach to innovation that covers a company's entire business model to combine coherence with distinctiveness, which is the best strategy. The permanent adaptation to a competitive environment changes also calls for permanent adaptation to the organizational strategy. The adaptation is through proper alignment between process, structure, and choice. The strategic posture involves weighing the use of strategic capabilities and resources in line with the situation's challenges.  

  Therefore, Grace Health Dental Hospital should adopt a strategic posture that will be continuously realigned and aligned with the internal resources and respond to the external environmental factors. The dental hospital will also work on innovative activities such as buying the latest dental equipment and well-trained dentists to provide state to the art dental services. Therefore these innovations will enable this organization to gain a competitive advantage. The chosen strategic posture is likely to give a deeper understanding of a firm's innovation behavior. The innovations will allow the organization to face the environment's uncertainty and how it maneuvers through its resources and capabilities towards attaining strategic goals.  

Strategic Position 

To find the best strategic position for Grace Health Dental Hospital, the organization must communicate effectively the results found from internal and external environment analysis. This information's implication is discussed, challenged, and debated by all the staff members at Grace Health Dental Hospital. Also, Grace Health Dental Hospital may have to develop its techniques and tools to effectively understand its position. Strategic position is looking at the outcome of a strategic plan on the resources, external factors, expectation, competencies, and the stakeholder's influence. The best strategic position of Grace Health Dental Hospital is to undertake innovative improvements that will enable this organization to be at the topmost market position in providing state-of-the-art oral health services.
