As a nursing practitioner, transitioning to one's current role to an advanced practitioner is not easy; hence, one has to employ various strategies to transition to where they want to be successful. Several strategies would work for me. One of these strategies is through nursing mentorship. Advanced nursing practitioners play a significant role in encouraging young upcoming nurses (Ashley, Halcomb & Brown, 2016). Having a full-time mentor who is practicing nurses at an advanced level can help gain a lot of experience. Through mentorship, one is able not only to learn about advanced nursing practice but also acquires the experience of what it takes to be a nurse who abides by all the nursing ethics.

The second strategy is the "watch and does" strategy. Advancing the role of a nurse depends significantly on learning. There are several nursing programs and online nursing programs that offer key experiences to nurses. As a nurse, every day comes with the challenge of learning something new on different platforms. Putting these things into practice helps one become a better nurse (Murray‐Parahi, 2016). The "watch and do" strategy is an important strategy and can be a key milestone to where I want to be as a nursing practitioner.

The other strategy that I would use is to foster relationships. Several nursing institutions are best known for nursing practice. These institutions have changed the nursing filed. The people behind such healthcare institutions are experienced, nurses. Building a relationship with such institutions and people can help in bringing out the best of a nurse (Edwards, Hawker, Carrier & Rees, 2015). I will learn a lot of things that will be important to reach my intended destination as a nurse. From leadership, nursing ethics to the actual practice of nursing, there is a lot to learn by fostering relationships. These strategies are, therefore, important in transitioning from the current role I have as a nurse to where I want to be in the field.
