Bristol Hospital is a leading healthcare institution situated in Connecticut, U.S. The hospital was established in 1921 while it has continued to serve as a key provider of health care in the Greater Bristol Area. The institution has managed to realize growing recognition nationwide due to the commitment it directs toward offering outstanding care toward patients. The institution has around 169 licensed beds while it provides numerous services to patients together with its amazing emergency center, which handles more than 40,000 cases annually (Bristol Hospital, 2019) . These depict that Bristol Hospital is one of the most reputable hospitals in Connecticut and the U.S.

Bristol Hospital has realized numerous successes during its operations to an extent that it has managed to grow from a community hospital to one that offers full-range services for both outpatients and inpatients. The growth of the hospital has seen it grow from Bristol Hospital and Healthcare Group to adopting the name Bristol Health in 2019. The change of name by the healthcare institution is a reflection of its commitment to provide integrated healthcare services in line with the diverse care programs that it has adopted over the years (Bristol Hospital, 2019) . Despite the name change, it remains committed to offering compassionate, advanced, and quality care services.

Even with the care quality that Bristol Hospital delivers to its patients, the hospital has faced a number of problems during its operations. For instance, on matters related to Left Without Being Seen (LWBS) metrics together with the availability of healthcare providers, the institution needs tremendous improvement. Prior to addressing the issue, the LWBS rate was more than 3.5 percent with the arrival to provider being over 50 minutes. Additionally, the duration of stay for the patients requiring discharge was around 4 hours. For the worst case, a large number of patients from the neighboring community shows lost faith in the capacity of the hospital in providing quality care to the patients. As such, the hospital started suffering with its reputation starting to deteriorate as a provider of quality healthcare (USACS, 2019) . In this sense, to allow the hospital to address these issues, Bristol Hospital selected USACS, which aimed at replacing the ER group while focusing on reaching numerous hospital contracts nationwide.

On matters related to addressing chronic pain, the major hindrance that the hospital encountered related to boosting the quality of care. The patients experiencing chronic pain particularly in the emergency department were suffering. To treat chronic pain, it is crucial to rely on healthcare specialists while at the same time focusing on working with collaborators. In this case., Bristol Hospital focused on referring the patients in its Emergency Department to specialists as opposed to continuing to direct treatment to them after every month (USACS, 2019) . This initiative allowed the hospital to reduce the number of those patients who needed services related to chronic pain.

From the failures and successes realized by Bristol Hospital, it realized certain positive outcomes. For instance, it realized award-winning satisfaction on the side of the patients. By welcoming the recommendations that USACS offered, it realized increased satisfaction on the side of the patients (Bristol Hospital, 2019) . The patients started showing confidence in the level of services that the hospital provided. They started showing confidence in the level of emergency services that the hospital provided. The patients felt that the hospital was prepared, willing, and capable of offering the services that the patients needed (USACS, 2019) . With the adoption of a culture of integrity, compassion, and trust, the hospital was able to deliver outstanding satisfaction toward the patients.

Bristol Hospital also focused on delivering high quality care standards, which allowed it to realize increased number of patients thereby boosting its financial wellbeing. It adopted processes aimed at reducing the wait times among the patients after being admitted to the institution. This move played a critical role in minimizing the duration that patients spent in the Emergency Department. With the support by USACS, the hospital was able to boost accountability among the administrative members of the institution. The hospital staff started laying emphasis on adopting the highest standards thereby allowing it to realize improved performance in line with delivering quality care services to the patients (Bristol Hospital, 2019) . The initiative also depicted that the healthcare institution was committed toward observing the required legal measures, which would ensure that the hospital remained a key provider of health care services in the country.

In order to boost the quality and value of the products and services delivered to consumers, Bristol Hospital ensured to lay significant emphasis on its leadership. It ensured that all the leaders within the institution received relevant training on ways in which to deal with health issues affecting the patients (Bristol Hospital, 2019) . The hospital made sure to help on matters related to management transition while at the same time supporting clinical shifts that ensured that the patients received care when they needed it the most.

Furthermore, the hospital made sure to instill a new and unique culture within the emergency department, which is a vital undertaking on matters related to fostering the success of a healthcare institution. Additionally, the institution ensured to retain the leaders of the hospital who showed extraordinary leadership skills, particularly in the emergency department. Bristol Hospital also lay emphasis in continuing to develop its leaders via offering tremendous training as well as monthly meetings, and conferences (USACS, 2019) . For the leadership training, it also extended to physicians and nurses with an educational program, which focused on making sure that the team within the institution developed the capacity for delivering exceptional care.
