The first strategy used by Crown Resorts to get its employees to provide guests with great service is customer care training. The customer service training that is given to the employees of Crown Resorts imparts them with skills, which make them stand out as the real; brand of the company. This customer service training given the employees of this company provides them with the foundation for effective service delivery to guests. Some of the areas of training include good skills of communication, interpersonal relations, attitude management and understanding of the workplace practices. The other strategy used is motivation. The employees are motivated through promotions, fringe benefits and salary increments to ensure they are satisfied for them to serve the guests properly.
The career path that I would like to take in the field of hospitality is catering. Catering is a very interesting career path for me since it deals with food, an essential thing in human life. Therefore, catering is a career that is highly relevant in the life of human beings. Jobs are easy to find in this field because there is eating in daily life and everywhere. The specific job I would like to do within the career of catering is managing a restaurant. My goal is to become a restaurant manager, overseeing the operations of a big hotel or resort. It is a very lucrative job and involves meeting with very prominent people in the society. Therefore, serving as a restaurant manager will give me the chance to create rich network of resourceful people, who can help me proper in life.

I will also have to develop my interpersonal skills (Ruetzler et al., 2014). The job of restaurant management involves interaction with people from all walks of life hence on I must know the art of relating and socializing with people of different backgrounds and beliefs. To attain this job, I will also require good communication skills, which I may get through studying a short communication course. I also must have customer care skills. Finally, this job requires that I develop my business skills because it involves creating and implementing ideas for commercial purposes (Devins et al., 2014).
My strengths include great interpersonal skills and good communication. I have been able to make many friends because of my socialization skills, which make me likeable to many people. I am also a talented good communicator, a trait that makes me able to articulate issues eloquently, confidently and clearly. Moreover, I have high academic achievements in the field of hospitality and hold a degree in hotel management. These strengths make highly qualified for my catering career.
My weaknesses include short-temper and mood-swings. My short-temper implies I am easily irritated by even the very small things. This trait makes me weak for the career path I have chosen, catering. It has to be noted that catering involves meeting various people who behave differently and one must be able to tolerate many unpleasant issues about them.
My opportunity is that there is chance of growing in the career of catering through advanced studies. I may attain a plum job within the industry of hospitality if I advance my studies and qualifications.
The threat I face is that hotels are greatly affected by issues of insecurity in a region where located. When such an issue occurs, many hotels usually relay their employees. Therefore, there is the threat of losing my employment in the event of insecurity in the region I work.
