As discussed by my colleague while addressing an article about the 4 P’s, one of the facts that stands out is that as there is a need for healthcare practitioners to always themselves to providing exceptional services to ensure possible healthcare outcomes for patients. As aptly pointed out, technology plays a critical role in ensuring that we achieve the desired outcome. For this reason, the two students believe that it is our mandate as healthcare practitioners to embrace the new technological advancements to aid in treating our patients. Besides advancement in technology, the authors of the previous article also point out the philosophical shift in principles and rules that govern the healthcare sector to be one of the driving forces behind the improvement in the service delivery in the recent times.
Using the example of two patients with overweight complications, the student demonstrates how the application of the 4 P’s can help health practitioners achieve the best treatment outcome. By applying the 4 P’s concept while handling the two patients, the student was able to analyze the current situation of the patients, and also put into perspective their individual living conditions that might have led to their state. For these reasons, I am in agreement with my colleagues that applying 4 P’s treatment approach on the patients, health practitioners are in a better position to provide the best treatment on their patients. Besides ensuring the best treatment outcome, 4 P’s treatment also ensures that healthcare practitioners are able to access any feature risk that a patient is vulnerable to and give the best advice on how to avoid it ( Gu, & Taylor, 2014) . Therefore, it is paramount for the healthcare practitioners to embrace and apply the 4P’s treatment at all time.
