Confucian principles could be essential in strengthening American society. While the American society is individualistic, Confucianism focuses on ensuring morality and ethics within the society. In an individualistic society like the US, people focus on achieving their own goals without considering society. The Confucian principles can guide American society to ethical conduct. For instance, companies can adopt Confucian principles to ensure adherence to corporate social responsibility. In essence, adherence to Confucian principles implies that all the actions taken by the American people are geared towards the production of socially-responsible outcomes. Various vices within the American context can be eliminated by adherence to the Confucian principles, thus leading to a better and stronger society (NMBPK, 2019). For instance, issues like racial discrimination, inequalities, and sexual harassment are based on American society's individualistic nature. However, focusing on the Confucian principles can make people think about the morality and ethics of their actions before committing them. Consequently, such vices would rarely be witnessed in the society, thus ensuring a strengthened society.
The three types of Taoism have distinct similarities that can be used in explaining its principles. Philosophical, esoteric, and popular Taoism have similarities in their common purpose: the attainment of immortality, genuineness, health, peace, fulfillment, and contentment. However, the three types of Taoism show differences in how they attain their common goals. Philosophical Taoism is focused on the worship of spirits, including the ancestral (NMBPK, 2019). In essence, philosophical Taoism achieves its goals by the use of rituals, magic, and luck. On the contrary, esoteric Taoism focuses on physical self-discipline, which can also be blended with spiritual aspects of self-discipline. Popular Taoism focuses on beliefs in divinity that help them achieve the set goals.

Analects are highly important in the livelihood of believers. In essence, analects emphasize the need for morality in living better lives. Without analects, it would be difficult for believers to uphold good moral conduct for social and personal benefits. I can apply the Confucianism and Taoism analects in my life to ensure good conduct at personal and societal levels.
