Hello to you too, am doing great thank you! Currently, I am in the school of nursing to acquire a Nurse Practitioner Licence. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to advance my career in nursing so that I can be able to care for the elderly population and the geriatric group in society (Barnes, 2015). As an advanced practice nurse, my role will be to deliver quality care, independently, in various work environments and responsible and answerable for promotion of healthcare, health education, disease prevention and counseling (Barnes, 2015). Also, assist in diagnosis and supervision of patients suffering from chronic and acute illnesses. I am very excited to work with people from diverse cultural groups. I believe that there is a need for transcultural competent healthcare care to suit the medical requirement of people from diverse cultural backgrounds and with various cultural beliefs towards healthcare.
After I have finalized my accredited graduate-level course at the University, I will be qualified to apply for a test so that I can be certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (Barnes, 2015). If I pass the test offered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, I will become a certified Adult- Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. The university online course programs also favor me because I can complete part of my course work while I am off.

Conferring to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, in the United States, Advanced practice certified nurses are pivotal for the healthcare system (APRNS, 2015). There are numerous roles of advanced practice nurses that you can select from the many. These include primary care nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, qualified licensed nurse anesthetist, qualified nurse-Midwife, and acute care nurse practitioner (Barnes, 2015) . Therefore, you can serve patients and promote quality care in different areas of specialization.
