The democratic party is the oldest in U.S.A founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in 1828 with a donkey as the party symbol. The republican party is a liberal party that was formed to advocate on social and economic equality, protecting the environment as well as people's welfare. On the other hand, the Republican party, established in 1854 with an elephant symbol and has Abraham Lincoln, has the president formed to push slavery expansion into American territories. Democratic party root for a stable government to improve on social structures and support communal responsibility.

The philosophy for the republican party is the belief that the federal government is too big and interferes with people's lives. Republicans argue that the government can abuse power easily, which makes the government unsuitable to social facilities. Republicans believe in eliminating taxes for wealthy people with the argument that the more affluent people are, the more money is circulating to pay employees high wages.

The democratic party stands for a continuous expansion of state welfare. The party seeks to come up with government regulation in the economy to promote the interest of the public. The democratic party argues that high-income earners should be highly taxed to fund the government. They say that the government should support health care facilities and that government regulations are needed to protect consumer's needs, and abortion should be legal.

Although I chose a democratic party, the republican party is also significant due to its advocation on flat taxes on wealthy people. People should not be taxed highly to fund the government; in other words, that money could be put into better use like increasing employee's salaries. Besides, the government should not legalize abortion since it is an act of taking innocent unborn infants' lives. The Republican party neither supports abortion nor taxation on the wealthy. Therefore, making the republication party a competitive party to the democratic party.

The Republican party has achieved on gun rights. This right is protected by the second amendment of the United States constitution. On the other hand, the democratic party has made legalizing abortion in America.

In conclusion, voters should consider the democratic party due to their suitable advocates towards social beings. Voters need to vote for a leader from the republican party so that they can achieve the above-documented policies of the party. Voters should not be ignorant to vote with the thought that one vote will not count. Voters should remember this slogan, "my vote and your vote determine what our tomorrow leaders will be like."
