On the other hand, the Republican party, established in 1854 with an elephant symbol and has Abraham Lincoln, has the president formed to push slavery expansion into American territories. Republicans advocate for less intervention of the government on welfare programs. The party supports restrictions on immigration, opposes abortion, and taxation of wealthy people.

Besides, the government should not legalize abortion since it is an act of taking innocent unborn infants' lives. The Republican party neither supports abortion nor taxation on the wealthy. Therefore, making the republication party a competitive party to the democratic party.
The Republican party has achieved on gun rights. This right is protected by the second amendment of the United States constitution. On the other hand, the democratic party has made legalizing abortion in America.
