There are various forms of training programs offered to employees. These include technology or technical training, skills training, quality training, managerial training team training and professional training among others. All these training programs can be provided in Matrix. Team training, for instance, is vital for any company and helps employees communicate well with each other, motivate themselves, make the workplace more friendly and enjoyable, and improve team or group productivity ( Voegtlin et al., 2015) . Professional training is also required in Matrix in order to keep employees and the managers up to date in their professional field. Employees who lack specific technical skills must be provided with the appropriate skills in order to improve their work efficiency. Newly promoted managers also need to be educated on their new roles and what is expected of them.

Who would provide the training at Matrix?

The Matrix Company has a good human resource team of professionals who can provide each group of employees from the various departments, with proper training. The human resource can greatly help with training programs such as quality, team, managerial, skills and professional training programs in the company. Other than the human resource professionals, department heads, managers, and professionals from other firms can also provide employees and managers with proper training. Are there any types of rater bias that can be eliminated or decreased through effective training?

Some of the common rater biases include the central tendency bias, first impression bias, and the contrast bias. The first impression bias, for instance, may be applied by raters depending on their first encounter with the employee. Rater bias can be effectively eliminated through quality or proper training. Through training, employees, supervisors, and managers can be made aware of the various types of rater bias. After making all members aware of the forms of rater bias, the company can, therefore, come up with proper measuring criteria that would be used to measure performance appraisal of each employee ( Kim & Holzer, 2016) . While it may not be possible to eliminate all forms of rate bias, training programs, especially those which provide members with the awareness of rater bias, can help reduce rater bias.
