Teamwork is the backbone of an organization that desires success (David &Robert 1996). All departments in a company need to work in harmony for the achievement of set objectives. As a manager in the Amazon’s new plant, I will roll out a plan that will ensure teamwork in setting and achieving company goals. I will apply the five roles of management as outlined in this paper. These steps will ensure that the workers work towards a common result. As Noah Robishchon records, Amazon is a dynamic company that utilizes more and more innovations to propel it to greater heights (Robishchon 2017).
Planning
In the new branch, my main focus will be on the advertisement and the packing side. I will encourage the workers to discuss ways in which information on Amazon’s products will reach the customers. This method should be that which is cost-friendly to the company as well as appropriate for a mass of audience. The team will also suggest techniques for simple, attractive, and appropriate packing for customers. By giving their views, the workers under their supervisors would own the business and work towards achieving the objectives which they came up with. David and Robert posit that every dimension of opinions needs to be listened to, to arrive at quality decisions as a team (David &Robert 1996). Each supervisor will have nine packers under him or her. The Packers will be encouraged to channel their views through their supervisors. In so doing, they would create a rapport hence a harmonious working environment.

Organizing
The hierarchical structure that Amazon has is best because of its nature of the business. It makes sure that there is extensive control over the global market. At the new plant, I would ask to have an assistant manager. This will ensure that all the activities of the plant go on well in the marketing and packing sections. Since I once worked as a packer, I would oversee all the activities in the packing section while my assistant would be in charge of the marketing.
At this stage, I will ensure that the workers have the required resources to carry out the plan of having a better advertisement plan as well as improved packing for the customers. I will request funding from the company’s headquarters to enable us to actualize the plan. The organization will help in spending money on the specific tasks. Among the ninety packers, some will go into the marketing side and implement the new advertisement strategies. Every worker will have a chance to be productive in where they can perform best.
Staffing
To achieve organizational goals, I would request the headquarters for fifteen more marketers to work in the new warehouse. This will help to boost the labor in the quest to implement the plans laid out. Saraf Nikhil contends that searching and hiring of the perfect employees for a given job is very essential for the company (Nikhil 2014). These specialist marketers would have their supervisor who would guide through the process of using the new advertisement techniques in popularizing the products of the company.
There will be the recruitment of qualified personnel to replace those who leave their jobs and those who get promoted. An interview process will be used to select the most appropriate people for the jobs. Proper training would be done to the hired members. As a manager, I would suggest that the new employees be taken to work at the Amazon headquarters so that the more experienced workers at the headquarters are brought to the new warehouse. This will ensure that the new employees get adequate orientation and experience in their jobs.
Leading
I will use that democratic leadership style to ensure teamwork in the new plant. According to David and Robert, this is the most effective leadership method, since it influences people to work for the common goal (David & Robert). The employees will be allowed to give their view on contingent issues at Amazon Company, but the final decision making will be left for the manager and the executive. The employees will be motivated when they realize that their views and creativity is taken into consideration. In this way, I will practically participate in promoting the company’s culture of togetherness and working for a common goal.
I will also apply the transformational leadership in my guidance to my juniors. Unlike transactional leadership, transformational leadership allows the leader to connect with the employees and stay committed to a shared final good. The whole team would exploit all the available ideas in implementing the company’s plans. As a transformational leader, I will inspire and encourage my juniors to work for common action.
Controlling
Establishing standards: From time to time, we would analyze the new marketing strategy and its impact on people. The response rate would be determined by the number of people who were convinced to purchase Amazon’s products through the advertising style.
Measuring performance: The performance of each of the two sectors that needed improvement will be measured. “This involves determining the extent to which the new strategies will have taken root” (Nikhil 2014). A deviation from the target achievement is also noted. The new packing style will be measured qualitatively by collecting the customers’ views on how they view the method. Quantitative analysis will be used to measure the number of customers who were convinced about using the new advertising method.
Comparing performance: As a company, we would then compare the performance of the new techniques with the desired outcomes. This comparison will determine whether or not the performance meets the standards already set at the planning stage.
Making decisions: With my guidance as the manager, we will detect errors in the process, if the performance falls short of the standards. Corrective measures will be put in place to correct that which would raise the performance to the ideal position.

Controlling is also essential because it helps in measuring the extent to which the desired results have been achieved at a given time. When these roles of management are adequately applied, the company’s objectives are achieved without much strain.
