Charity is considered as a virtue and which is highly regarded as the most significant virtue. According to Brenmer (2017), the habit of charity is extended both to the love of God and our neighbor’s love. Most at times charity is regarded as the spiritual love of God which is extended to man by God and it is by man made through God’s image. Charity signifies love reciprocated between man and God through the manifestation of unselfish love towards other human beings. Our affection through charity perfectly unites us to God because through it, love is expressed to Him. Biblical charity can be different from other forms of love like philia and Eros love 9Clark, 2011). Charity is seen and regarded as Christian love because it is a representation of God’s love towards man and man love towards God. The difference between charity and love occurs when the love is an intense affectionate feeling between two or more human beings.

Agape defines the incomparable and immeasurable love by God towards humankind. It is kind of love that is self-sacrificing and unconditional that God gives us yet we never deserve it. Agape love is experienced in the bible and by having a relationship because the love is beyond emotional extensions. Eros love is experienced and expressed between a husband and a wife as it expresses romantic and sexual attraction. Ideally, Eros love is not regarded as evil or unclean, it is rather God’s gift to couples who are married allowing them to express each other’s love (Clark, 2011). Philia love is the kind of love that is brotherly as it expresses love is compassionate and encompassing for other human beings. Philia love expresses more affection and warmth towards other people.
