What can we learn from Sister (and Doctor) Mary Reyelt about the meaning of charity? There are many lessons learned from this touching story of Mary Reyelt, among which some include her strong faith in God. She believed that everyone required help and that is why she worked hard to care for the sick. Her heart of loving and hopeful nature; she had faith that her patients would get better even if they were suffering from an infection that is a world menace. She was also a determined and committed person who gave her life and time to care for the weak in the community. It is clear evidence of her limitless charity nature.

How did she live and put her faith into action? Mary Reyelt being a sister and a doctor as well, she had strong faith. According to the article, her hope which was reflected in many ways, including traveling without giving up to countries and countries in the world on AIDS-related meeting, this is because she had faith that she would finally get a way of fixing her patients. Although many see AIDS in the perspective of an untreatable disease, she considers the nature of this disease differently. She was a learned fellow and a Catholic sister as well, and this shows her actions on her faith earned in the church and the activities performed by her medical knowledge.

How is she an excellent example of a modern-day Saint? In the current age, we are, it is challenging to identify a person like Mary Reyelt. Her acts were a good example which when applied in the current years; the world would be a place to be. Currently, people only care about their issues and focus less on helping (Patricia, 2009). The heart of giving and not expecting anything in return is fading and with time will be nowhere to be found. If we all reason in a way that we are all connected therefore helping could be much easier since the world could be like a family and also considering that one does not need to be a saint to help, everyone has the potential to do so and give from the bottom of our hearts.

How can we practically imitate her example in everyday life? Why do we often think we can't? Adopting Mary Reyelt's case would change and flip our current world upside down, from its current nature; where people say, everyone for himself and God for us all. This statement is evidence of individualism in the world. To adopt her ways, we have to embrace the spirit of giving, kindness, honesty, and most importantly brotherhood. It could be much easier to help one who is your brother or sister than helping a stranger. Therefore with the heart of kinship and family relation, would make it easier to achieve the goal.

How can we truly bring our faith and charity into our everyday life? The virtues like charity and trust can get achieved from an inner motivation of an individual. The Bible; the word of God from which we get directions from should be our reference book. This sister precisely did what some Bible stories are about; helping the helpless and bringing hope to the hopeless ( Patricia, 2009). Therefore for us to bring up a charity and strong faith, we have to practice what is in the bible. Religious subjects should be taken seriously in schools at all levels. i will help in cultivating persons' /learners' habits and inflict virtues that are good and vital in the community.

Furthermore, this should be taught both at school and home by the parents themselves. It is because the youths and the kids we have today are the parents of tomorrow. With this in mind, their characters should be watched closely. If this idea is converted into action, we will end up having as ‘many Mary Reyelts' as possible. If the current generation is being driven towards doing the right; helping, giving and many more, the world will be a place to be in the future ages.
