Since the research involves workplace hazards in nursing practice and, in particular, the risk of chemical exposures, the best source of data will come from the nurses themselves. Nurses will be able to narrate and explain the danger they face while handling dangerous drugs and chemicals in clinical settings. Additionally, they will also tell of the harm they expose themselves to in terms of occupational health and safety (OHS) problems in the U.S. The best nurses to use in the study would be the ones working in intensive care units and delivery rooms.
The existing literature reveals that nurses are at higher risk of exposing themselves to dangerous chemicals and drugs that are used in clinical settings on most occasions. Nurses may get exposed to this hazard due to lack of awareness, underdeveloped abilities, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face visors, gloves, long-sleeved gowns, respirator mask, aprons, goggles and fluid-repellant surgical masks (Camponogara, & Dias, 2017). Exposure to chemicals has been found as a root cause of various forms of health risks and, in severe cases, may lead to the death of qualified nurses, which is a blow to the health sector.

This study will employ a qualitative research method since the data required does noes involve numbers or measures of values and counts (Surenran, 2020). Data will be collected through the use of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Purposeful sampling will be used to select the study participants, where each participant will be allowed to give their views about the issue.
Data analysis is essential, and therefore choosing the right method is a vital step. For this study research, the best approach to analyze data will be through deductive and narrative analysis. The narrative analysis will allow the researcher to reformulate stories narrated by respondents. It will enable the researcher to present experience nurses go through discharging their duty. For this study to be successful, the researcher needs to have a set of skills. Such skills include having patience, the ability to refine search queries, the ability to evaluate sources for accuracy and validity, and the ability to use informational tools and social networks to collect meaningful data..
