Lessons from Role-Playing
During the role-playing exercise, there are different lessons learned regarding the Christian faith based on the experiences presented during the exercise. The first lesson involved the need to listen carefully to one another during conversation to help in understanding of different factors that influence individual reasoning. In this case, I learned that there were objections that were brought about with regard to the Christian faith, which created the need for listening and engaging in a proper conversation to understand the reasons behind the objections. The second important lesson learned from the role-playing experience is the fact that the ability to share individual experiences helps a Christian to grow their faith, which is an important aspect when conversing with the non-Christians. Lastly, I learned that the non-Christians are impacted by the testimonies of the Christians and specifically those that involve real-life experiences. Additionally, involving the issue of spirit during the conversations with the non-Christians create an avenue for an evangelistic invitation.
Reflections on Evangelism Experience
The evangelism experience, which involved sharing and engaging in conversations with non-Christians faced different the challenges during the attempt to share faith. However, there was success in some cases considering the nature of response obtained during the process. The first notable challenged experienced is the excuse mentality. The non-Christians tend to have an excuse mentality for not understanding different aspects that relate to the Christian faith. The second difficulty experienced during the evangelism exercise involved the fact the non-Christians were judgmental and focused on criticizing the lives of a Christian. Majority of the non-Christians tend to judge the Christians based on their faith and lifestyle basing their judgement on the need for living a blameless life.

Secondly, an increased engagement through asking questions and showing response to different aspects was indicator of success during the exercise. The fact that some of the non-Christians presented an interest in understanding more about the Christian faith was an indicator of growth in evangelism considering that there was an opportunity for future growth in situations where the non-Christians associate with the faith to become Christians.
Contributions from Dickson’s Book
The Dickson’s book played a significant role in influencing the experience during the entire exercise considering the provision of a guideline that helps in enhancing the evangelistic process. It is important to note that the book focuses on enhancing the life of a Christian by ensuring that they promote the gospel with more than the lips. Promoting the gospel with more than the lips is an indication that the Christians should engage in their evangelistic mission with the aim of communicating their faith mainly through actions and not necessarily with their words. As part of creating a guideline for the evangelic process, the book defines the reasons for getting involved in a mission, which is an aspect that helped in ensuing that a Christian have an understanding of their roles in a mission. The book capitalized on providing a Christian with necessary knowledge and understanding when engaging in evangelism with other people in the society that are not Christians.
