Health Information Department    2 Transcriptionists.  The two transcriptionists will be advised to apply for a certificate so as they become certified Medical Transcriptionist and also continue to develop there MT education and skills.  As transcriptionists, they must make the effort of continuing studies to sharpen their skills on grammar, technology, medical terminologies, among other skills. It is necessary because this profession is evolving and one needs to be always up-to-date. The finance department will be of great help towards the achievement of this. The medical transcriptionists will receive total support from us towards the achievement of this extra education needs  The Simulation method of delivery will be used. This is because it is the most ideal in such scenarios. It is necessary for skill development.  There will be no expected change in the budget as a result of this plan. 
    Two release-of-information (ROI) coordinators  The Registered Health Information coordinator can further his or her studies by completing CAHII-accredited degree in health information management. The other individual who is trained on the job will be required to apply for an exam and pass from the American Health Information management Association (AHIMA)  To maintain certification, the two individuals are needed to pursue Continuing education. Some of this continuing education needs include; learning on modern technology since the health care industry is now evolving from paper-based records to computer settings which improve the efficiency at work. 

Introduction of experienced instructors. 

Introduction of computer-based programs that will replace paper-based records. 

The individual trained on the job might be needed to attend more classes to perfect his or her profession. 

The result of this plan may require a little adjustment of the budget to accommodate the new additions in the program. Introduction of classes may add cost to the organization’s budget. 
    5 Coders 

The two coders that are RHITs are supposed to undergo thorough coding program training until they get certified as coders. 

The two coders who are associates and the two coding specialists will have to further their education until they get professional certification. 

The certified coders are supposed to seek more knowledge in the field of medicine. All of them are supposed to be conversant with medical terminologies. The coding programs keep evolving, and so the coders will have to be up-to-date with the latest programming codes 

More use of the internet will be of emphasis for training. 

All the coders will be attending seminars organized by the institution for the attainment of some basic knowledge in the medical field. 

There will be an allocation of allowances for seminar attendance. 

For those who will become professional coders, the board will have to review their salaries. 

    One HIM Supervisor  The supervisor who is an RHIT holder will be put on a specialized training course of management. He or she will be required to attain basic leadership skills, and the Hospital will be ready to support this course 

The supervisor will aim to have a better social work philosophy and refine their knowledge and skills 

The supervisor must also enroll in clinical supervision classes. 

Renewal of supervision license will often be until the supervisor gets enough experience. 

The supervisor will attend several seminars and workshops that will equip him with more leadership skills. 

The hospital must also create a program that is supposed to equip the newly appointed supervisor with the necessary skills in the field. 

The seminars organized will be incorporated into the system without any budget changes. There are funds already allocated for such function. 
    4 document imaging specialists  They will have to undergo technical training in scanning systems and enterprise management.  Having up-to-date knowledge of medical terminologies and modern equipment that is used in the department 

Digital awareness forums. 

Attending of lectures on training programs. 

There will be no budget constraints because they will sponsor themselves in technical training.
