The bill of rights contains the first ten amendments to the American Constitution; the bill of rights guarantees basic freedoms to the American Citizens. The bill of rights was intended to protect the fundamental rights of the American Citizens against actions of the national government; these actions would include freedom of speech, freedom of religion and the right to bear arms. The American people are protected by the bill of rights against actions by the national government. The government is responsible for protecting its citizens whenever there is any attempt to infringe on their rights be it on the states or any other place. It is hence the mandate of the government to provide protection on the bill of rights of every citizen regardless of the place where the citizen is located. The written document, which is the constitution, has the ability to provide protection for all citizens against the actions of the state government.
To some extent, the government should allow the State has to protect the fundamental rights of citizens within its boundaries. The states should impose law and policies to protect the bill of rights of Citizens. In some citizens there are laws that prohibit handling of bear arms, they urge that those arms are endangering the fundamental rights of their citizens, while in other states some citizens have the right to handle bear arms. The State’s should have a little mandate on protecting the fundamental rights of citizens within its boundaries. This will also enhance speedy processes in terms of persecuting people who infringe other people’s fundamental rights. Even with the state’s having the mandate to protect the fundamental rights of citizens, the federal government should ensure that the States do not change the bill of rights, no one state should have the right to change the bill of rights
