African-Americans are markedly more religious on a variety of measures within the US population, including the level of affiliation with a religion, attendance at the religious services, frequency of prayer, and religion’s importance in life. 8-10 African-Americans say that religion is very important in their lives, an aspect that’s (79%) compared to 56% among all US adults. They stand out as the most protestant racial-ethnic group in the United States as 78% of them are protestants compared to 51% of the total population. 63% of them achieved less than high school education while 55% of them completed college education.

On social issues, there’s an unequal percentage of likes and dislikes on subjects such as homosexuality and abortion. However, according to Patillo-McCoy ‘s analysis of civic life in an African-American community in Chicago, it revealed that cultural practices within their church such as holding hands during prayer, call and response interaction, singing, clapping and swaying to music invoke collective orientations among African-Americans that serve as resources in political organizing and activism.

Church culture connected to African Americans via cognitive frames arise interactions, emotional and effective exchanges that empowered people to resist societal oppression no matter what the personal sacrifice. Reseachers have argued that the religious culture of African Americans not only stimulates mobilization by serving as a guide for interpreting political goals but also provides sacredly ordained legitimacy to political action. They are known to be overwhelmingly supportive of the Democrat Party, having voted 98% for Barrack Obama in 2008 and 88% for John Kerry in 2004. However, most African Americans support certain restrictions on the mingling of politics and religious institutions with nearly 6-10 (58%) saying that churches and other houses of worship should refrain from endorsing political candidates.

Rational theory is applied in many instances amongst the black Church, since despite them having a strong belief in religion and term it important in their lives, (that is the large percentage), some of them still doesn't follow the masses. In many cases they stand firmly with their personal beliefs especially on matters pertaining social life such as homosexuality, abortion ,and even some of the black church movement beliefs. Therefore, this shows the way freedom of expression and liberty is spread among the movement members. Nevertheless, the course can be improved through encouraging and making use of new resources such as the application of a game-based program and different developments in adaptive erudition.
