Modern technologies such as the cloud have had an impact on people in employment in a variety of ways. Cloud has enabled flexibility at the workplace as employees can work remotely even when away from the office (Knorr, 2018). Additionally, most companies have up scaled their computing solutions as such kind of technologies require for people to have computer knowledge. Employees can connect and with the management from their homes, and this has helped companies to save on infrastructure. From my personal experience, the fact that we can work for an organization from any part of the world as long as one has an internet-connected device has increased productivity within the organization ( Duffy, 2016 ).
Cloud provides essential services for an organization, such as it has improved operations, has enabled organizations to provide adequate support to the clients, and it has enhanced flexibility at the workplace. As much the kind of data stored in the cloud cannot be stoles, such data is still not purely secure as unauthorized people can view it. Moreover, such type of data gets to be stored in servers and systems that the owner does not have any control over; hence the data is not safe (Bozicevic, 2018). Cybercriminals can hack the data and store it for their benefits. The positive aspects of cloud computing Are that it enhances productivity, flexibility, and saves on infrastructure at the workplace. Cloud ensures that data gets stored effectively and helps inefficient customer support. The disadvantages are that anyone views the data stored on the cloud clan since such information gets saved by a third part on servers and systems that the owner is not familiar with (Experian, 2018).

The positive implications of cloud computing outweigh the negative in that the kind of technology enhances massive benefits and opportunities for organizational growth. It has improved the way products get designed and has reinforced a closer collaboration between the IT department and other business units such as sales hence fostering better customer interactions (McKenzei, 2017). In healthcare facilities, cloud computing has enabled doctors to monitor patients remotely, and this has enhanced efficiency in running healthcare facilities (Aria systems, 2015).
