There are techniques used in developing the vision that geared towards change. The authors of this book "Managing Organizational Change: A Multiple Perspective Approach," uses vision as a storytelling technique that a person can use to develop an own vision. Therefore, this research paper is determined to address ways through which vision as storytelling techniques can make me identify my belief on change, my future objectives on making these ideas a reality. It will also address to how identifying my vision can help me achieve the possible goals. The challenges that come along in the course of vision progress.

The art and skill of storytelling become critical and a dominant driver of transformational change. One needs to tell stories of visions that pose them as organisational change agents rather than defenders of status quo. Stories, when told, are to come along with the transformative insight that puts facts in an emotional context. This skill enables people to make their decisions, and it's a great hallmark of powerful influence in an organisation ( Palmer, Dunford and Akin, 2009).

I believe in the power of positivity and positive thinking that is a mental and emotional attitude that focuses on the bright side of life and expects a positive result that impacts life in a livelier manner. Positive thinking is a fact, and I believe in its effectiveness. Once a person’s mind is distracted by the negative thoughts, they tend to act in a way to embrace failure due to lack of confidence. With the kind of belief in positivity, we experience a pleasant and happy feeling of contentment and feeling of re-energized.

The positive thought comes along with my self-centered change of attitude, behaviour, skills, and performance in general within the organisation or the environment within which am attached. These changes combined have a positive impact on the people who surround me and the environment at large. According to Scheier and Carver (1993), a n environment marred with social, political and economic problems recalled by the positive thought of the possibility, that's the attitude one has towards the problems they face.

Social change is another key move I want to associate with shortly. It is the modification of the established relationships in the organisation. Social change encompasses the biggest set of objectives that I want to achieve through proper collaboration with others. Change starts with a person, but the same change requires the effort that is combined or rather collaborated. It brings diverse ideas aimed towards achieving a common societal need. With regards to this, I need to impact my life by including others by building positive, healthy social relationships with others.

For self-development, I have to set some personal goals. Firstly, time goals. Time management is fundamental in a person's life. I want to manage time and abide by my timelines of executing my plans. One has to set priorities so as to manage time and meet their deadlines. Time management comes along with shunning from procrastinating on what one has to do at a time that is already nigh. Palmer, Dunford and Akin (2009), believe that p rocrastination is considered the thief of time and the killer of opportunity, and in this, one's dreams buried. I have to make better the use of time.

Secondly, I want to build my confidence. Self-esteem goes handily with trust and thinks positively about you. I have to know how much competent am dealing with personal life challenges. It will make a line between a person’s happiness and his success. Self-confidence and success are in close relations. The sense of confidence creates a notion in a person’s mind of being the first in whatever they do.

Thirdly, I want to be proactive. Proactive is associating with one having the self-sense of creating life and managing it. One has to go the extra mile of being the owner of their lives and don't identify themselves as victims of external conditions that are derailing or might hinder their progress. Once a person feels he's proactive, they don't allow others to dictate their lives, and they take responsibility for the results of their actions. That's a goal I want to achieve.

I want to acquire problem-solving techniques and conflict resolution skills. Our daily lives characterised by the need to have good problem-solving ability accompanied by proper decision making so as to counter the problems we face. On same accounts, our society confronted with conditions that need our problem-solving skill. Especially dealing with conflicts within our society since it's a norm of life. People can’t agree on everything mutually. This power will make me an asset to the community rather than a liability.

Finally, I need to acquire proper education and training. It’s my personal goal to reach a certain academic level that is desirable to me. It is a professional goal that helps a person to venture into elite type business. Educational levels help a person gain promotion at their job places. It comes along with some sense of accomplishment and success. When a person has the best training in a particular field, their performances are of equal excellence as asserted by Zimmerman, Bandura and Martinez-Pons (1992).

In the course of achieving visions, there are some challenges that one faces. One might be the presence of pessimistic people who never see the positive side of anything. They can drain your energy and kill the enthusiasm that comes along. And to avoid this, you should not shun away from them but make yourself sensitive about them, don't let them make much withdrawal in your life than active deposition. Secondly, the lack of skill and management of time is another challenge. Tend to stop procrastinating what you have to do. Draw right and proper time schedules for doing the work and never work to beat the deadlines. When not taken into account, these challenges plus others not talked about can shut your vision and impede progressive development.
