The video “Black How You See Me” explores the Black Culture. The blacks speak how they were raised thinking that their cultural practices were not the best however they had to be resilient and appreciate their practices and help others do the same. It’s through appreciating our cultures that were can appreciate ourselves where we have come from. This helps the black to develop confidence. Human beings have different cultures that should be studied to create harmony and gain knowledge of how to deal with different people who need our help or we need their help ( Abel and Greer, 2017 ). In this paper, the Black cultural and spiritual beliefs will be discussed. Black culture can be defined as the lifestyle that is associated with black people.
The “Black Culture” encompasses other cultures, this gives the people chance to freely interact with other cultures in the world ( Machirori and Metcalfe, 2018). Studying Black Culture helps students have confidence as they interact with other members from different cultures. Thus, the Black Culture is the starting point of difference, this is because some white cultural practices are similar to the blacks. The black people have cultural worship rituals where different communities have their way of worshipping God.

Before the introduction of Christianity every community had a way in which they would worship and give sacrifices to what they believed to be God ( Snead, 2016). Thus, man was religious despite Christianity that has brought a lot of similarities between different cultures and the spiritual aspects ( Machirori and Metcalfe, 2018). This is helpful to study as a nurse because it helps me appreciate diversity.
In the future, I will have to treat all people equally and attend to them offering the best services not because they are black neither white but because we have learned and appreciated cultural diversity (Black How You See Me) . The second is that studying culture and spiritual beliefs create awareness globally as well as raising curiosity where one wants to associate themselves with other cultures thus appreciating these cultures.
