The narrator wants to show the world that despite the crimes these inmates might have committed, they are human beings like any other, and they too deserve to be heard. Others have agreed to plead guilty to their offenses, living in self-pity and blaming themselves each passing day. Ethical Issues and Ethical Reasoning Being Argued
The inmates have lost the value of human life. They cannot even come into close contact with their family members. It is degrading because they are not being treated like human beings. The issue of an innocent person being executed is evident. The prosecution team needs to be more attentive in their investigations to avoid such cases. The reason why perpetrators plead guilty is so that they get a lighter sentence such as Stacy Otega (Organized Criminals, 2016). Why some are still facing capital punishment even after owing up to their crime leaves more questions than answers.
Why I agree on the Documentaries Point of View
The death penalty is unjust and ethically wrong. God is the sole giver of life, and He should be the only one to take it back. When someone murders another person, the right way is not to commit the same. That will appear like condoning the crime by repeating it. We instead should try and help them reform.
Conclusion
Everyone deserves a second chance in life, no matter the crime they have committed. Killing is not a solution. Once proven guilty, one should be allowed to correct the mistakes they made. Although we cannot be able to bring back the life that had been taken away but granting another chance means we can be able to bring out the best in a person again hence saving another life and preventing the same incident in the future.
