Effective leadership is synonymous with resilient and creating a cordial relationship with employees. Therefore, the underlying report will evaluate leadership skills as denoted in the interviews undertaken. This will aid in establishing various perspectives that leaders embrace. Also, the report will analyze the aspect of effective leadership in its entirety and evaluate various trending themes in respect to leadership schemes. In addition, the report will establish how different personal characteristics are aligned towards effective leadership. Furthermore, I will evaluate the importance of established leadership features and how they are connected to elevating an individual his or her career succession. Therefore, the underlying report will evaluate all aspects and factors that are in line with leadership styles. Furthermore, I will venture into habits and principles of different types of leadership.
I will put into account the interviews of Mr. Quiros who is the current manager of OCI Company and Mr. Lombard who is the former manager of OCI Company. Therefore, my report will be based on the finding arising from interviews of the two managers in question. Mr. Quiros identifies with transformative leadership approach, while Mr. Lombard identifies with authoritative leadership scheme. The interview brought out the features of a transformative leadership style which include; self-management, adaptability, embracing new ideas, collectiveness, capacity of taking right risks, motivation, and inspiration. Also, the interviews undertaken aided in denoting features that are in line with authoritative leadership scheme such as; control and giving of direction, dictatorship in respect to policies and procedures, and non-participation of subordinate in determination organizational goals. The success of an organization relies on competence, commitment and effectiveness leader to manage human assets and other resources within an entity (Wheatley, 2006).

The primary responsibility of a transformative leader is to engage and motivate employees towards attaining organizational goals. Also, it is important to note that the leader acts as a role model in this style of leadership, hence the subordinate emulates their leader. The other role of a leader in the underlying scheme of leadership is to involve subordinate in decision-making in respect to goals and objectives of the organization. Therefore, under the stipulated leadership scheme the leader perceives his or her duties as directing, engaging, involving and motivating his or her followers towards common goals. Also, in the underlying leadership scheme the leader trusts that his or her duties are relevant to collogues as they help them in undertaking their duties effectively. Therefore, in a transformative leadership the leader appreciates the efforts of the subordinates, as he or she engages them in decision making process (Holtkamp, 2014).
An authoritative leader applies the slogan of dictatorship to leader within the organization. Under this set up of leadership the leader beliefs that his or her primary role is to give orders and directions for the subordinates to follow. The leader does not give subordinates the opportunity to engage in decision making regarding objectives and organization of the organization. It is also perceptible that under this type of leadership the leader stipulates policies and rules governing subordinates. The underlying set up of leadership minimizes output as the subordinate is not involved in formulating objectives of the organization. There are various factors that enhance effective leadership within the organization. Effective communication is vital in enhancing timely accomplishment of activities within the organization. Therefore, leaders have to ensure faster and effective dissemination of information within the organization to ensure that deadlines are meant (Hogan, R., & Timothy, 2012). Consequently, the leaders in question put in place strategic plans to ensure effective communication within the organization.
The idea of change is significant within the organization due to the fact that the business environment is dynamic; thus, embracing change is vital in enhancing adaptability to the current trends and demands. In approaching change it is important to involve subordinate. As a leader it is important to appreciate that the subordinate is important within the organization as it undertakes several important activities. Therefore, engaging them in the process of shifts that are undertaken within the organization is vital. This is due to the fact that they will feel being part of the process that they will embrace shifts that are in line with their duties and roles. Inclusivity is vital during the phase change within the organization as it will enhance productivity and loyalty within the entity (Mothilal, 2010). Therefore, the leaders always have strategic schemes that due guide the organization during the phase of change to ensure that the process is smooth and proficient.
Openness, kindness, contemplation, thoughtfulness, emotional stability, and creativity are important traits within the leadership system. Therefore, it is notable that the leader who embraces the underlying key traits stands a chance of being a successful leader within the organization. A leader who embraces key traits and principles of leadership is charismatic and has a strategy of getting the right balance between personal and work responsibilities The mission and vision of the company are comprehensive and expressive, as they clearly denote the main objectives and goals of the organization and the manner in which they should be attained. Therefore, the leader discusses the mission and vision of the company with the juniors in order to come up with the best systems, ideas, and strategies of accomplishing them. The leader’s perception is that the mission and vision of the organization is viable, attainable, and socially beneficial. Consequently, leadership in its entirety help individuals to understand that leadership is an idiom of who we are (Cashman, 2017).
A leader set an aspiration, direction, or vision for a group to follow; therefore, he or she spearheads the underlying vision. On the other hand, a manager controls resources or people in a set up in respect to doctrines or standards that have been outline. For instance, in the underlying interview Mr. Quiros is more of a leader rather than a manager; while, Mr. Lombard is more of a manager rather than a leader. Active listing is in line with paying attention carefully, understanding, concentrating, responding and contemplating what is being communicated. Active listening is important within the organization as it aids in effective operations within the organization. This is due to the fact that it promotes effective understanding and contemplation of the company’s objectives and goals among employees. Effective communication is important for success of the company, as it promotes efficient functionality of basic operations such as; planning, coordination, controlling, motivation, and evaluation (Holtkamp, 2014).
In conclusion, it is important to note than the underlying interviews have aided in denoting the leadership styles that were embraced in the company. For instance, the report indicates personal traits that are significant in enhancing effective leadership. The traits evaluated are openness, contemplation, kindness, thoughtfulness, inventiveness, and emotional stability. The report also, indicates aspects and factors that are significant in the instance of transformation within the organization and the influence of a leader during the phase of change. Also, the report denotes the significant of effective and active communication in the success of a company. In addition, the report appreciate that leaders do embrace diverge leadership style in undertaking duties and evaluates each leadership approach that each leader denotes. Therefore, the report is comprehensive in analyzing several aspects, principles, factors, rules, features, and guidelines of effective leaderships that stems from the underlying interviews.
