Part 1

Outpatient care setting is the kind of service that does not require an overnight stay in the hospital. Outpatient care setting often entails treatment and administration of medication in a doctor's office, clinic or any other setting where care is given without admission (Yuan et al., 2017). The various methods of delivery include free standing emergency departments, mobile clinics, urgent care, primary care and work based clinics, digital platforms and specialist clinics.

This care setting is most beneficial to the patient because it adresses the immediate problem. Action is taken immediately and the patient is then able to continue with their everyday activities. The set up of the treatment areas also assist in the psychological well being of the patient. It becomes easier for the patient to heal, because of the quick return to normalcy. The availability of all resources in one setting also aids in recovery. Payment methods through insurance are also encouraged for flexibility and ease of payment.

Part 2

The term primary care describes comprehensive treatment that enables the patient to access continous care. Primary care providers make the patient aware of their options. They also help the patient to get an understanding of their health through civic education. Improvement of the health care process can also be attributed to primary care givers. They assist the policy makers and stakeholders to make the most beneficial decisions in regards to health care.

Primary health care is important to the overall health system because it lessens the burden of health care. Major illnesses do not take a toll because the patient can be treated early before complications arise. Preventative measures can also help in improving the quality of life. Finally, primary care providers fill the gap between service delivery and policy making (Yuan et al., 2017). They are the invisible bridge responsible for innovation and advancement in health care.
