Safety promotion in SMS involves providing training, effective communication among organizational employees to create a positive safety culture. Managers have a responsibility of ensuring that every employee is engaged in safety initiatives. Involvement can be achieved by advocating for positive safety culture, disseminating safety lessons learned, and by system and safety communication awareness (Federal Aviation Administration).
