Genesis 3-11 is among the essential chapter in the Bible. Without it, people cannot even start to comprehend the darkness that has blanketed the earth. In Genesis, man disrespect and denies God`s word, and it can be reduced to an alternative that a man is to blame for what he does (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Genesis 3). The rebellion against God`s word is the reason for woes that befall human beings, such as an alienation from God, self-deception, wrecked relations, among others, the letdown of creatures to retort to their power, toiling to raise foodstuff and above death. Adam and Eve did not experience any childhood trauma because God provided them everything, yet they rebelled against Him and selected to sin in a perfect environment at the end of the day.
Despite all the problems, God forgives them, which shows the importance of humanity. God allows human beings after the fall to control anything on earth so long they should not destroy anything or each other. The act of forgives and giving them freedom shows the whole essence of humanity. God orders human beings to get out Garden of Eden but promises them he will always be with and will bless the fruits of their hands. This analysis shows God is human, and people should also be. The main reason why there is repeated moral failures and alienation from one another is due to bad company. Besides ignorance, the most significant source of sin is due to social contracts as a companion. Man is naturally an imitator. Eve follows what the serpent was doing, which is why she decided to eat the forbidden fruit. The act of laziness also causes moral failure (Kloos & Beekers, 2018). People tend to fail to learn what is right and wrong and stick to it. A person who is lazy and easy-going cannot command himself to follow righteousness. I believe humanity is a good thing, and with proper knowledge, people will not be tempted to sin.
