In the gospel of Luke, Jesus is a powerful figure viewed as a prophet, a savior and a healer. The main issue in this book is the ability of those that believe to follow the laws of the land. He teaches of acting in humility even if the deeds of other people are not right on the view of others. He teaches of being selfless and sharing the possessions owned with those that do not have. These kind of teachings were difficult for the people to understand and contemplate due to the human nature to only mind for their own.

The most striking thing on the gospel of Luke is the condition for not facing destruction. It is only through repentance that anyone is promised not to perish. Being from Jerusalem or not being a Gentile would not make them escape the wrath of God for their sins. He insists that those that do not bear fruits have no reason of existence. Through the parable of the fig tree, He teaches the importance of being productive. The tree that does not bear fruits is cut down.
