Handling ethical conflict

As a healthcare manager, one can face numerous ethical conflicts at work. A good example is an issue where two employees have a difference in values, where their values and those of the organization do not align. I would handle this issue by nurturing free expression and ensuring those who speak up are not discriminated against since most people fear such repercussions. This is achieved by encouraging the workforce to speak up when they have a difference of values to help mitigate the conflict that could arise. This ensures that staff members feel safe when airing their concerns.

Conclusion

Healthcare managers control the corporate side of health institutions. The healthcare manager’s role in ethical decision making is to create a solution that is not only ethical but also appeasing to all parties. Encouraging free expression among employees ensures they can air their concerns and avoid conflict. In my opinion, getting staff members to air out their concerns is the best way to handle ethical decisions
