NCHL Assessment
Personal progress towards developing NCHL
My Baseline competency rating at the start of the project was low in all the areas. The lowest rating was 3. Later on, I managed to improve in my ratings to the point of scoring 9 which the highest point. The development experience was challenging and required the will to be outgoing. Nonetheless, the experience enabled me to develop financial, leadership, listening, group work, team work and project management skills.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
During the course, I have had to work with teams, manage projects and attend education programs. The various programs contributed to the development process.
NCHL leadership competencies
I have exercised Team leadership at various levels. The positions enabled me to develop self confidence in helping the team move forward in difficult situations. At other instances, I exercised tact and self confidence in determining the best approach to manage heath situations.
Outcome
The outcomes were impressive. In some cases, the outcome rates were 5 which demonstrate a high level of competency and satisfaction. It was in four scenarios that the outcomes were 3. The people and departments I worked with at the community level, health facility and academic work gave positive feedback on how their experience working as a team and with me was.
Career Path
During the course, I manifested ability in team work and team management. In my career path I would like to pursue Human Resource management in the health sector. This path will help me to enhance my leadership skills and achieve my goals.

Part 2: Personal Development Plan
Insights Gained From the Capstone Project and Future Applications
The project has been a mind and an eye-opening activity. I have learned special skills in handling others as well as myself. The need for strict discipline in time and relations with others has come up repeatedly in the process. Obtaining commendation from vital community care could not have been possible if it were not for discipline. This virtue transcends into other qualities that are essential to professionalism such as teamwork and project management.
Future Application
Knowledge gain is a progressiveevent. It does not necessarily need to be in academics but other lines of work and life. Knowing what one wants and how to get it, especially information, is critical to the growth and development of the person and the area of specialization. The knowledge andskills obtained in the research have equipped me with the abilityto conduct future analysis in my career path as well as other areas of interest. I have learned the need for strict adherence to schedule, and focus on the project. As a professional in the health care setting, I intend to apply the virtues and skills gathered from the exercise to influence, positively, the life of colleagues, organization, and the discharge of duty to obtain satisfaction and accomplishment.
Challenges and Strategies
The accomplishment of the project was delayed by several challenges. The main obstacles were the complexity of the project, the short period within which it had to be completed and scarcity of resources.
The complexity of the project
The project was scope was broad. The amount of work to be accomplished was discouraging thereby resulted in low morale. The project was fragmented into specific tasks to be achieved and make a whole cycle of managing the size appropriately. Project segmentation is a practical approach to managing a larger load of work (Hass & PMP, 2008; Alderman, Ivory, McLoughlin & Vaughan, 2013). The sections were organized based on the nature of work to be accomplished; identification of the research problem to be tackled, sources of information, data sources and collection strategy, analysis, and presentation.
Time
I had limited time to accomplish each of the segments. Effective time management skills require a proper schedule and discipline (Cook, 2011; Best & Krueger, 2004 ; Forsyth,2003). To manage the various sections and even visit vital community care for their consent and data collection, I had to assign complex tasks much time and simple ones lesser time. This had to be accomplished by balancing the project requirements and other side duties and responsibilities.
Scarcity of resources
The project relied heavily on online materials. Even though there are numerous materials online, one can hardly get enough materials that are credible, peer-reviewed and meets the needs of a project. Internet search is complex, and one has to be watchful for erroneous materials (O'Dochartaigh & Dochartaigh, 2007). Thiswas accomplished by relying on the NCBI website supported by the government as the primary source of journals. The materials had to be sorted out using keywords to simplify the search process, which was also complex and time-consuming in some instances arriving at worthless materials.
Conclusion
The challenges and lessons learned from project initiation to completion have been an insight and opportunity to develop essential skills. The virtues and skills obtained and the strengths gained from the exercise will be in vain if they lack a place in the future of my career. The success of the work was chiefly a result of teamwork; engaging the professor, vita community-care staff, colleagues and others. Through it, I am better placed to handle future projects.
