Computer programming is a process of developing and instigating numerous sets of instructions to enable a computer to carry out a particular task. These guidelines help the computer to operate smoothly. The reason as to why I consider myself a credible speaker is because I have expertise in the IT field with a vast knowledge in the scope of programming. This topic is important because it provides one with an opportunity to comprehend programming domains and increase their ability to express ideas through different languages. Understanding the history and development of computer programming languages is therefore a very important in the modern world.

According to Abraham (2011), the participation of Lovelace to computing marked the beginning of a rich history in programming. In 1970, Niklaus Wirth created a language identified as Pascal, which is still used to make Skype applications. In 1983, the object- oriented language C++ was created by Bjarne Stroustrup. Today, it controls Google’s Chrome web browser. In 1991, Guido Van Rossum contributed to the incredible creation of the Python language. It has been used by Google, Yahoo, and Spotify.

Ahmad (2015) states that programming language is essential because it explains the liaison, semantics and syntax. This allows the programmers to successfully communicate with the machines they program. Alur (2010) explains that these languages can assist somebody in instructing the computer on what to do in a human-readable form.

Computer programming languages have many advantages to both learners and the community. Due to the increase in modern programming languages and compliers, it is possible to create applications with components written in different languages. This subject allows students to learn object-oriented programming without exposing them to the complexity of C++. It also permits lectures to introduce students to networking threads and other important concepts used in modern day software.
