List three (3) major aspects of industrialization between 1865 and 1920

The first point to make in the paper will be explaining the major aspects of industrialization during the period between 1865 and 1920. These aspects will be considered based on factors such as the society, economy and politics. It will be noted that the major aspects of industrialization after the Civil War included urbanization, laissez-fair system of governance and technological advancement.

Increased factories and people looking for work led to the emergence of cities. This was catapulted by the rural-urban migration. The Laissez-fair system of governance gave space for the industries to grow by avoiding interfering with it. Finally, technological advancement was a major aspect of industrialization as innovations started being implemented.

List five (5) specific groups that were affected by industrialization

The native white Americans were greatly affected by the industrialization both positively and negatively. For instance, work became easier because of technological advancement (Franklin, 1994). However, urbanization started causing cases of insecurity and other crimes, which really disturbed their peace.

The middle and lower class workers in the factories were also affected by this industrialization. For instance, most of them started losing jobs because of technological advancement. For those who were retained, technology significantly improved their output.

Immigrants. The immigrants were adversely affected by the laws that were enacted because of the surging urbanization rate (Shultz, 2014). However, with industrialization, these immigrants got employment opportunities in the factories.

The black Americans. The introduction of machines started killing the slavery industry as work could be done technologically (Baker, n.d). For those who were against it, this industrialization came as reprieve to them.

The children. Some children were engaged in child-labor. They got faster means of commuting to schools such as cars.

Women. They took on new roles of managing homes as their husbands went to urban centers to look for work.

List five (5) ways that industrialization affected the life of the average working American during this period

Socially, industrialization created new classes as a result of capitalism. There were the middle, lower and upper classes of people.

Economically, industrialization improved productivity and efficiency in factories. Work could be done quite easily and huge products would be produced within a short period.

Politically, service delivery to people by their government improved because of technological advancement. The Laisezz-fair system of governance was introduced.

Women started doing roles of men in the homes as their husbands worked in the factories within cities.

Pollution of the environment increased in the United States.
