Significant environmental issues have continued to be a devastating factor among many communities. All human beings depend on nature, the environment, and the ecosystem. As a result, no one can do without these three aspects. However, human activities are the ones that contribute to the growing rate of environmental crisis. The reason as to why this has become uncontrollable is because no human activity on water and air is reversible. Air pollution has contributed to the destruction of the ozone layer, which has resulted in global warming. This crisis can not be controlled unless human beings change their perspective on the environment. Herein, the paper will evaluate the urban community in the U.S. and the effects that the environmental crisis has had on them.
In the majority of Urban cities in the U.S., for instance, California, several environmental issues are experienced. This includes air pollution, global warming, water pollution, and also depletion of natural resources (Tsui, 2020) . Air pollution has emerged to be the leading environmental risk associated with early deaths. It has resulted in respiratory infections, stroke, diabetes, and also heart disorders due to long-term exposures to pollutant agents. Also, water pollution has resulted in several human diseases. This includes traveler's diarrhea, typhoid, cholera, and also dysentery, among other conditions. For this case, diseases like cholera may be deadly as, at times, it may not be characterized by any visible symptoms; thus, delaying seeking medical attention. As a result, it will result in a high number of deaths and a weakened body's immune. Moreover, there is also global warming. Global warming has unique health implications to human health. For instance, it may result to change in allergens, and thus, it will trigger asthmatic conditions among individuals (EPA, 2018) . These conditions may further lead to other respiratory diseases due to difficulties in breathing as a result of asthma. As a result, a community that is highly affected by the environmental crisis is at a high risk of its people suffering from diverse health conditions.

However, the major causes of these health problems are human activities. For instance, for the case of water pollution, drinking contaminated water will result in health conditions. Water contamination may arise as a result of domestic sewage, or even fertilizers mixing up with clean water sources. Besides, the causes of air-related health conditions are the pollutants that are emitted in the form of gaseous wastes by factories and also emissions from vehicles. This is usually a common crisis in urban centers (Hammond & Christensen, 2016). The causes of human health conditions related to global warming may be variations in temperatures that result from the destruction of the ozone layer. This might bring extreme hot conditions, or at times it may result in adverse cold conditions, which eventually result in asthma.
Dealing with environmental crisis needs considerations and cooperation from various stakeholders. For instance, over the past ten years, California has had plans for constructing a high-speed railway system between Los Angeles and San Francisco. This plan should be implemented as it will help reduce carbon footprints as a result of the traffic between the two cities. Also, if you are a resident in California, there is a need to connect with California Environmental department so that they can assist in taking action on issues that impact California's air quality (Ittner, 2020) . Moreover, several institutions have adopted the use of CSR and sustainability action. This is a significant step in curbing environmental crisis as it will aim at cutting down greenhouse gases, fossil fuel consumption, water use, and also wastes (Hammond & Christensen, 2016). Lastly, various communities should be enlightened about the importance of conserving the environment. In this case, communities need to adopt the recycling of plastic products, which results in pollutions. Also, aimless disposal should be banned, and those found to be disposing litter anyhow should be charged.
Conclusively, environmental issues are a universal crisis that is steered by human activities. The significant sources of pollution identified are air pollution, water pollution, and also global warming. Each one of them is made up of distinct causes. However, their impacts are the same; they all result in health conditions and other effects in humans. Generally, human beings require the environment for the provision of daily needs. As a result, the environment has typically been used in the expansion of human habitats and also increasing the quality of human life. However, the uncontrolled usage of resources from the environment has resulted in this environmental crisis. Therefore, it is the responsibility of human beings to engage in activities in activities that will not result in an ecological crisis but instead engage in activities that promote quality of life and the environment.
