According to Lewis (2016), God is everywhere and with that, one can use all creation to learn more about God. God has shaped every aspect of creation, including chemistry. Although humans have created so many things and taken giant strides, all these things can be traced back to God. God created chemistry to encourage the most precious gift given to us, this gift is life. Chemistry helps one understand how DNA corrects any issues to make certain that life is sustained. Chemistry also explains movement, force and how certain things came to be. Science tries to fully grasp chemistry; whilst Christianity offers the explanation that chemistry and its make-up were made by a caring, loving and creative being. God’s love and care for us led to the design of the chemistry of life. The chemical similarities we share and our origins must lead us back to God, who created man in his image.
Chemistry is vital in every aspect of life. Molecules can be made in a lab using other molecules. Natural compounds are changed to mimic something in nature that may have a positive role, such as medicine. None of these complex cells come into being from nature. Life does not come about from any amount of chemical reactions. Reactions are constantly occurring, they may occur around us or even within us. These reactions may go in multiple directions until one reagent is unavailable. When these different types of reactions occur in a living system they are referred to by different names. These are organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry or biochemistry. Despite all these things, chemistry has not been able to bring life to a cell. Chemistry on its own cannot create life nor can it give a human being a soul, this task can only be done by God (John, 2019). Chemistry has its limits and this is seen through the things it cannot do, only God who created Chemistry is able to surpass any limit.
