In the legal fields, varied personalities and professionals are involved in case procedures and outcomes. Among the most relied-on characters and professionals are jury consultants, experienced psychologists, communication experts, linguistic experts, former trial attorneys, and social scientists (Ferguson, 2021). The importance of jury consultants is unmatched because of the roles they play in streamlining case procedures. According to Ferguson (2021), jury consultants assist in developing a case theme. A case theme lays the foundation of a case and provokes judges to be keen on every step of a case procedure. The jury team assesses the piece of a claim, makes necessary changes, and evaluates its efficacy before proceeding with the actual courtroom procedures. Additionally, jury consultants assess and train witnesses for a case. Witnesses play crucial roles in winning an issue; thus, they should be well-trained in presenting themselves in a courtroom. Likewise, well-trained witnesses assist clients in winning cases filed against them. Jury consultants comprise experts who understand human behavior to a great extent. Therefore, jury consultants complement the legal expertise of lawyers to present well-thought arguments in a courtroom (Gaffney, 2020). In most cases, jury consultants can study human behaviors during a trial and predict the outcome of a field case. The ability of jury consultants to study human behavior is absent among lawyers; who only associate with legal matters. Most legal experts believe that filed claims should be evaluated before they are heard in a courtroom (Fergusson, 2021). Case assessment identifies all the liabilities and damages that a client might suffer due to a predicted judgment. The jury consultants are tasked with assessing a case, determining liabilities and damages, and implementing strategies to ease the liabilities and damages on their client. Through case assessment, clients in the courtroom are assisted in evading gruesome judgments and penalties that might adversely impact them. However, jury consultants have been associated with organizations and individuals who are financially stable. Individuals who cannot access jury consultants for their cases are disadvantaged over those who can acquire jury consultants (Hu, 2017). The gap between the rich and poor has been widening due to the roles played by jury consultants in determining filed cases' outcomes. Both the poor and the rich should be given equal opportunities and abilities and acquire jury consultants when faced with issues. Lack of equal opportunities and skills for the poor and the rich to access jury consultants deters the poor from getting justice. The rich use jury consultants to win cases that would otherwise have turned against them were it not for the impact of jury consultants. Jury consultants question every trial given in a courtroom by judges or jurors (Kane, 2019). Therefore, the absence of jury consultants in a case implies that nobody will question all the case trials and judgments given against a client. In most cases, case trials and sentences are unfair and deprive clients of their fundamental human rights and freedoms. Thus, the need for jury consultants is paramount to question any forms of injustices resulting from unfair trials and judgments. According to Hu (2017), the government should effect ways that would ensure that both the poor and the rich have equal opportunities to access services provided by jury consultants. Ensuring that jury consultants' services are availed to all who need them would promote justice in the legal field. Furthermore, through the legal system, the government should ensure that financial instability is not used to deprive the poor of their legal rights in courtrooms.
