Although there are multidimensional causes of gang involvement among Juveniles, it is imperative that programs that discourage Juveniles from such vices are instituted. This should be emphasized in different communities, especially those majorly affected (Tita et al., 2011). In terms of law enforcement in my community, I will intervene by encouraging the implementation of some of the policies prevalent in the Operation Ceasefire ( Hollenbeck Initiative) program. One of the tenets from the program that will be adopted is aggressive enforcement of the law to reduce gun violence among youths in the community. For investigation, aspects prevalent in operation ceasefire (Boston mass) will come in handy (Tita, 2011). This program mainly uses a problem-solving strategy to reduce illegal possession of guns by Juveniles and, at the same time, reduce related violence. While implementing the project, for example, while undertaking gun recovery projects, investigations about the gang dynamics in a given area can also be undertaken. According to the bible, a prophet is not accepted at home (John 4:44). In trying to bring about change in the community I live in, I am likely to experience resistance by the residents. One of the reasons behind such resistance is because I do not have any certification that deals with law enforcement. I have also been less involved in such community-related undertakings in the past; hence, I have not created a platform that acts as a prerequisite that helps people understand that I do not have ill motives. Some parents may deny that their kids are involved in gangs. I, however, believe that persistence will work in case of such a challenge. According to Luke 11:5-10, a friend at midnight knocked on another’s door to get bread for a visitor until he is granted his wish("Official King James Bible Online”,2020). The same way, unless community members accept that there is a problem that needs to be solved, I will not relent.
