The National Crime Statistics Exchange (NCS-X) is such an important project aimed at effectively increasing the number of agencies that are tasked with the role of the reporting data to the FBI’s managed National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). More importantly, the successful implementation of the initiative will ensure the provision of a quite detailed and accurate statistical representation of the criminal nature to the law enforcement agencies in the United States. This will as well ensure effective planning of the initiatives at different levels that cannot be achieved currently through the existing programs for summary data collection.
