Introduction
In the ancient Egyptian environment, women were viewed as objects rather than human beings. Male dignity screamed in all areas, and as such, the women had no say even in their own lives. The routines, actions, and independence were controlled by men. Women were synonymous with household chores and other issues regarding catering for the overall needs of their families. Women’s rights were ignored and viewed as less important in society. Gender played a great role in the lives led by the members of the society, and as such, in most cases, human rights were inexistent (Khalil et al., 2017). Markedly, this was a class system that was determined at birth, and it could not be altered at any point in life. The backward traditions were passed down the generations, and in the end, the women bore the burdens in silence as they were brought up with the culture of male dominance. Given this situation, this paper highlights and explains the grievances, goals, obstacles, and mechanisms to enhance change in the environment of ancient Egyptian women.
Grievances
As an ancient Egyptian woman, the most challenging element in Egyptian society is the disrespect of women's rights. Here, society requires women to act as if they are okay regardless of the conditions that they are subjected to. Male dominance is the order of the day, and most opportunities are preserved to the men as they are assumed to be leaders in all situations (Khalil et al., 2017). In this case, society is thought to demean the women without any form of remorse or concern, and as such, as a woman, I have to withstand all the mistreatments and disrespects. I am a business lady, and do run some shop business with the support of my husband. I manage to do business while still undertaking all my obligations as a wife, implying that Egyptian women need opportunity to prove that empowerment is no substitution to being good wives and undertaking household chores. However, my attempts to be empowered and motivate other women rise in social circles have been met with contempt, as the society still believes we the women should stay home and let the men work and provide for the families.

Women are also human beings, and there is need to respect their rights in the male-dominated environment. Being confined at home is the basis of poverty and other cycles related to it, and as such, as a woman, I feel obliged to cause a change in Egyptian society. The unbearable gender issues affect the dignity of female in the Egyptian society.
Also, the lack of freedom is a major setback for Egyptian women. Regardless of the potential of these parties, there are no opportunities to meet their set objectives as the men view them as inferiors. The men are responsible for the decision making process, and the women have to abide by the set standards, whether they are appropriate or not. Women find this challenging and biased as their views do not matter.
The psychological issues on the ancient Egyptian females cannot be underestimated. Fear dominates their environment as the society advocates for submission and silence from their part. Egyptian women lack the voice to air their problems and concerns, and this creates a tension environment due to the suppression of their needs and feelings.
Goals
My basic goals in the Egyptian society comprise of the provision in the family, career cultivation, and enhancement of financial independence. Rather than waiting for the men to provide for the families, women should be allowed to take the available opportunities to take part in the provision for the families. Here, I should identify the available opportunities to work towards making the family comfortable. On the part of career development, I desire to change the narrative that an Egyptian woman should not be professionally involved in the society.
Additionally, in my gender capacity, I plan to lead by example in embracing financial independence. In this case, the narrative of the sole provision from the men should be eliminated. Finally, my long term goal is to be the voice of the women who lack the courage to stand and air their concerns. Even though ancient Egyptian society runs as if everything is normal, the women live in pain and agony. They need a strong and courageous individual or group to air their issues to the relevant authorities. Their silence only worsens their situations as they are forced to withstand the agonizing situations which affect them psychologically.
Obstacles in the establishment of Change in the Ancient Egyptian Environment
In the quest to achieve these goals, I am faced with various obstacles. For instance, being a woman, there is a fear of sexual harassment. In the Egyptian environment, women are considered as sex objects and servants. It is difficult to be accepted as workers in the society. The society is trained to believe that women are meant to stay at home and handle domestic tasks rather than serve in offices and other dignified areas. Only women of class have the opportunity to enhance their careers and to serve in the public capacity. There is a gap between the male and women are huge, and as such, it is difficult to be accepted even in the work environment (Khalil et al., 2017). Even with the goal of financial independence, it may prove challenging due to the poor working conditions and minimum payments to the female gender.
Also, the preference of men to women in the Egyptian work environment is an obstacle to the empowerment process. The men are dominant in the Egyptian society, and they are held highly. Competence is associated with the male, while incompetence is associated with the women, and this affects the rate at which women are absorbed in the work environment. When the need to reduce workers arises, the women are the first victims as they are rendered incapable when compared to the males (Roth, 2018). Therefore, the financial independence and productivity of women in this society are challenging.
How to Promote Change
No doubt there is an urgent need for change in the Egyptian women society. First, the problems faced by women in this region are attributed to a lack of education and status. Both formal and informal education is necessary for the fight against the available obstacles. Through education and pro-activeness, I can sensitize the other women and society as a whole on the need to respect women. Also, I can set an example to the other willing parties on the strength of women through performing better than the men. Additionally, through education, I can change the narrative that women are incapable, and they belong to the kitchen and informal environment.
Furthermore, in the quest to foster change, I can participate in championing women's rights in the Egyptian environment. Even though such a task is demanding, it is worth the sacrifice, and if all goes well, the men will bow to the pressure to respect the rights of the women. Also, through religious platforms, I can minimize the gender inequality and male domination through spreading information that all are equal before the eyes of the Supreme Being. Through this sensitization, women can act to the task by fighting for their rights rather than waiting for other parties to claim for their rights (Matić, 2016). Besides, these moves can act as enlightening and empowering factors to enhance their ability to fight for their rights.
The biggest obstacle in the Egyptian environment is society's perceptions. In the quest to promote change, there is a need to deal with the society. Even though it will take long, continuous sensitization of equal gender rights across society will impact positively on the Egyptian women (Khalil et al., 2017). Society will gradually accept reality, and the end; the women will be regarded highly in this particular society.
Conclusion
The major issue of concern among women in the Egyptian environment is gender inequality. Even the gender roles and responsibilities are biased as the women are left with no room to empower themselves as they are confined to their homesteads. The fact that they are treated as properties and objects dehumanizes them, and as a result, they feel inferior and incapable of causing the desired change. Lack of education and employment is common among females in this region, and this limits their potential. It is not easy to contribute to the society with these situations. Unless the change is advocated for, the situation is bound to remain constant in both a short and long-term basis. Markedly, women have a role in working towards the change that they desire. If they rely on the men, they are bound to remain inferior as the men enjoy their dominating power. To restore dignity, the women have the responsibility of fighting tirelessly towards equal gender rights.
