Description
The logical framework model presents a planning tool that organizations can use to strengthen project design, application, and appraisal. The protective equipment crew uses the logical framework model to develop an overview of its project to deliver personal protective equipment to the Department of Health to help them fight the corona virus pandemic. Some of the logical framework model's critical aspects include goals, specified objectives, budget, activities, outputs, and expected outcomes. The logical framework will help the protective equipment crew to organize thinking, allocate responsibilities, set performance indicators, and set communication channels (Sansom, 2011). Implementing the logic framework model helps to draw all critical aspects of the planned activity into a clear overview of the patients (What is a LogFrame? 2020). It also allows for the monitoring and appraisal of each aspect of the project to ensure it is able to meet the overarching goals and objectives. The logical framework will ensure the effective implementation of the PPE project and ensure successful distribution to the Department of Health.
To implement the project, the protective equipment crew will have to develop the goals of the project. The projects' primary goals are to increase the production of personal protective equipment (PPEs) by 35 percent and become the number one supplier of PPEs for the Department of Health. To implement these objectives, the organization will develop specific objectives such as manufacturing quality PPEs that protect healthcare workers from the covid-19 virus, expanding the supply of PPEs to different states, building reliable distribution channels to ensure efficient delivery of PPEs to hospitals, and increasing consumer retention by offering quality PPES at affordable rates. To attain these objectives, the organization should implement the activities documented in the framework. The organization will have to source raw materials, manufacture the products, and distribute products to the end consumers. The organization uses indicators to determine if the requirements are met and list all assumptions made during this process. The PPEs should be produced and distributed using the allotted budget. The implementation of the activities will result in outputs. The outputs will be analyzed using verifiable indicators to determine effectiveness and quality. All the assumptions made during the appraisal will also be documented. The application of outputs will help the organization to attain the desired outcomes. The outcomes must have measurable indicators to ensure they are effective.
