Every society has certain issues, which require unique or unorthodox methods of resolution. In the United States, African Americans have been marginalized and as a result, have been experiencing racial injustices such as police brutality at an alarming rate. Consequently, various groups began taking up measures in protest against racial injustices, such as the kneeling protest. NFL members and other players in different sports should participate in the kneeling protest to raise and increase awareness of racial injustice in the U.S., so as to address the issue. Racial injustices in the U.S. should be addressed because they have resulted in the deaths of innocent people, injury, and brutality towards African Americans. Supporting the kneeling protest facilitates the addressing of racial injustice to improve the lives of younger African Americans, as they will be free to pursue their dreams without fear of prejudice. Racial injustices have been known to have detrimental implication not only in the physical sense but also with regards to mental health since it can result in low self-esteem and depression among young African Americans. Therefore, protest against racial injustices should be promoted and adopted, hence support for the kneeling protest in the NFL, to end the injustices.

The reason as to why NFL players have been taking a knee in protest is to raise and increase the awareness of the situation across the globe. Colin Kaepernick, founder of the kneeling protest during the national anthem in the NFL brought attention to the fact that there were ongoing racial injustices in the United States. When other players joined in, the message was reinforced, and the matter became apparent to the whole world. Players in other sports should participate in the protests in a bid to call for the end of racial injustices in the United States. This is because the more an issue is exposed, the better chances it has of being addressed and resolved.
