Sexual and health reproduction health promotion does not only encompass the absence of sexually transmitted infections or even unwanted pregnancies. I have read a lot of health promotion materials but have never come across an interesting one such as the women health west material on the promotion of sexual and reproductive health (Fisher.2014). The material is an original writing article that explains all the relevant information about a healthy sexual and reproductive life to women (Glasier and Schmid, 2016). It further explains the key priorities or areas that women should give attention when it comes to these issues. The material is an online health promotion program that seeks to educate women on what it takes to have a healthy sexual and reproductive life.
Using a Flesch-Kincaid readability calculator the material has a readability grade level of 21. Its grade level makes the reading level to be challenging to read. The reader's age of the material hence becomes college graduate (Wang and Wen, 2013). In my analysis of the material, the readability of the article raises a lot of questions. If it is an online health promotion platform, then the readability level should be all-inclusive and not only be beneficial to the college graduate. The material is very effective because the client seeks to address a population of women who face the threat of unhealthy sexual and reproductive life. The standard Flesch-Kincaid readability test for health materials should be in a 7th grade and have a score range between 80-70. According to Bates physical examination should be accessible by everyone (Bickley, 2013). I have learned that to promote health through materials it should be read by at least a 13-year-old student; this specifically applies to the sexual and reproductive health promotion above.
