Summary of the Article
The study investigates the relationship between sexual exercise and the regular use of marijuana. Both males and females were examined regarding how frequent they had indulged in sexual activities and how that was linked to the regular cannabis use. Women and men who did not engage in sexual exercise were used as the control group, or the comparable group. A recent study established that women and men who used marijuana had frequently experienced more sex than those who did not use the drug at all. The men and women that had been examined were those who had or not used marijuana in the past year against their frequency of indulgence in sexual activity. Their findings revealed that women who used marijuana did sex more frequently in the previous months more than the women who did not. The findings were similar to that of males. The researchers considered the survey outcomes of about 50,000 individuals, which is a considerable size for a study (Kennedy, 2017). They wanted to determine the relationship between marijuana use and the frequency of sexual activity. They established that 25 percent of the men and 15 percent of the women confirmed having used marijuana. The examination of participants of the study between 25 and 45 years of age indicated that both women and men who utilized marijuana had a higher frequency of engaging in sexual activity than those who did not use the drug.
One of the researchers denied that the frequent use of marijuana would not automatically steer a man or woman indulge in sexual activities or have a drive for the same. Establishing the actual effects of marijuana use on inclination to sexual activities is challenging. The study may not be relied upon to confirm that there is a strong correlation between marijuana use and indulgence in sexual activity. He argued that many of the participants would have interpreted “the composition of sexual activity” differently. He supposed that the users of marijuana could engage in sex as lifestyle or it had to do with their personality.

Relating the Article with the Lessons in Class
The findings of the study indicates that both men and women who use marijuana have a high tendency to indulge in sexual behavior. Drugs have the ability to bring individuals together both in a physical or emotional manner. This has been established in this study. For there to be a positive correlation between marijuana use and sexual activity, it implies that the users of the drug experience sexual benefits in the same. Nonetheless, the real issue is that drugs would alter one’s perception of time and the people they meet. The users could perceive that they enjoy sexual activity when they do drugs, in that way causing them to engage in more drugs and sex. This study support the fact that factors like drugs may influence the emotions and actions of someone. Drugs may impair the reasoning and emotional wellbeing of someone to think and act differently (Steinke, Mosack, & Hill, 2018). In this case, marijuana motivated the users to engage in sexual activities more than the normal level.
Individual Reaction to the Article
The research work was more interested in the age group of between 25 and 45 years than the teenagers were. It could have been easier to determine if the teenagers are affected differently as far as their sexual life and marijuana use is concerned. However, several people would want to experiment both drugs and sex at the same time (Steinke, Mosack, & Hill, 2018). I support that marijuana has a diversified effect on the brain, health, body, sexual life, and relationship of every person. It may not affect everyone in the same manner. Some of the users of these drugs like marijuana. may deliberately use it to influence their relationship. For instance, it is claimed that marijuana use creates a greater bond between couples by facilitating a more beautiful and open connection. Some people would report a high frequency of sexuality because marijuana has a way of distorting the sense of time of the users. As a result, the users do not have inhibitions to engaging in sexual activities.
The Key Points of the Article
There is a correlation between marijuana use and frequency of sexual indulgence in men and women. Men and women who do not use marijuana engage in sexual activity for about seven times in a year. Men and women who use marijuana engage in sexual activity more frequently than men who do not use marijuana at all. There is a positive correlation between marijuana use and sexual indulgence among men and women. The motivations for indulging in drugs like marijuana and at the same time having increased propensity to sexual activity might be determined by other factors. I feel that studying about these relationships between men and women who indulge in drugs and sexual activities should be approached with an open mind. Other factors that might be influencing this desire for sex among the marijuana users should be considered. A more definite winding would have been achieved if the effect of the drugs were examined. By studying the effects of marijuana in the sexual functionality of an individual, one can reliably determine this relationship between marijuana use and sexual indulgence.
