The environment plays a crucial role in the spread of combating of infectious and communicable diseases. The situation that has been carelessly handled possesses a high risk of increasing the chances of spreading infectious diseases to the people in that particular jurisdiction of the environment ( Hernandez and Blazer, 2006). On the other side, a situation where possible measures have been taken, and likely techniques have been impacted to prevent the chances of communicable diseases from prevailing then that particular environment will have fewer cases of infectious diseases. The situation signifies a clear indication that the climate is at the center of the issue of the spread of contagious diseases. The environment cans either impact a positive or negative change regarding combating infectious diseases. Environmental factors significantly influence the spread of infectious diseases in a critical environment. Some of the essential issues are water supply, sanitation facilities, climate, and food. Lack of safe, clean water, poor hygiene and poor living conditions, inadequate proper disposal facilities, and unsafe foods can easily cause infectious diseases such as diarrhea, cholera and typhoid, and any other related disorders. Some of these environmental setbacks are the sole causes of deaths and suffering in some areas and places. Climate change in local regions can significantly affect the distribution and varying sizes of various diseases ( Nash and Fitzgerald, 2015). Flooding in some places causes sewerage overflow which carries the contaminated elements that spread through the regions, and it is also believed that some pathogens could easily be carried away and spread across the areas by wind or air streams. It is evident that the social determinants of health can be categorized as the main issues that influence health at different levels during the life period of individuals. For instance, poverty can be categorized as an exposure that categorically affects the health of individuals at various levels of their life course in their families or in the neighborhoods the individuals reside ( Keesing and Myers, 2010). Some of these factors may interact and co-occur to produce more severe social, and environmental factors that create significant problems in the lives of individuals in the community. For example, if an individual is poor and resides in a poor neighborhood then the chances of contracting or being infected by infectious diseases are high as compared to those individuals living in middle-income earning communities.
